Class is very tough at first because its hard to put everything together. But, in the end when all lectures seem to revolve around the same key idea of the course, it all makes sense. Great guy to learn with and has many great outlooks on life everybody could learn from.

Comment:

Dr. Mazzola is a brilliant professor. He goes above and beyond the criteria expected from a college comp class. However, do not come into this class expecting an easy A. He makes you work hard, but in the end I found it rewarding. It also takes a couple weeks to get used to his personality.

Comment:

Dr. Mazzola puts an interesting twist on College Composition. He is a great professor who cares about the opinions of his students and teaches life long lessons that are hard to find in other classes. I would strongly recommend taking his class.

Comment:

Dr. Mazzola is one of the best english teachers out there. Not only does he teach you english, but he teaches many life lessons. The course itself was very interesting. There are 4 essays, and 4 quizzes (which are not too hard if you study the study guide). As long as you study, do your work, and go to class, you will enjoy this class very much.

Not much work, work that is assigned must be done and will almost always be discussed is class. Four essays that are clear and fair, four exams that mostly focus on grammar. Good choice for anyone who does not want English straight out of a book.

Not your ordinary English class. Not only did I learn about college comp but I also gained a lot of insight to things I have never thought about before. He always has a positive attitude and is very understanding. Best englIsh class I've ever taken.

This course is tough, but it will continue to help you throughout life and other classes. Professor Mazzola continuously offers help to everyone, but it is up to you to take him up on his offer and get the help you need. I toke his offer and he helped me improve immensely as a writer and student. He is a caring teacher and I greatly recommend him.

i don't recommend this class for anyone. the tests are very hard and he does not grade the papers or exams fairly. i asked for help (tutor or extra work) but he said he was the only help he was going to offer. later on, said he could not really look at papers ahead of time because it was pre-grading, and that is unfair. don't take this course

DO NOT TAKE THIS COURSE!!! I have spent hours upon hours working for this class. The tests are difficult and he is by far the most tough grader. I have spent countless hours working on his papers, and have received C's on all of them. There were 3 students in my class that were retaking the course. There are no tutors or extra credit offered.

I have worked very hard in this course. Nevertheless, I am struggling and have only received C's on all papers and exams (even though I have put in countless hours studying, and have visited the library for help writing my papers). He does not offer extra credit and does not have a tutor for his class. He is a tough grader, but the class was great.

I would like to thank Dr. Mazzola for all his efforts in English Composition Course. He did a great job in teaching us in a different and new way where tolerance and respect are the most important thing in life. He tought me how to write a good essay and have seen a great improvement in my writing skills. He is a great professor.

Mazola takes a different look at english comp. This class is not all about grammar, it is more about looking at things differently. I would suggest this course it may have been tough but it was very informative. Ask for help he will help if he sees you trying he will give you a better grade too.

This class was very interesting! Dr. Mazzola, is probably the only professor that hasn't put me to sleep. You must attend every class in order to get all of the information that is taught, but the homework is not too difficult. You will take home a lot of knowledge that you can carry with you your whole life. This class will be worth your time.
