I really wanted to like Laura, i really did. She is not a fair grader, and she's scatter brained. She seems like a really great person, but I don't think she should be a professor at a University- maybe a middlehigh school teacher. I will not be taking another class with her. The first English class I've ever disliked. This is my major.

Laura is a very helpful and nice professor. She helps you to think critically about literature and genuinely cares about her students and how they are doing in class. She is fair at grading and I learned a lot from her. Definitely a good teacher- especially for those who really like English! She can be a little awkward and clumsy but I liked her.

This class is mandatory for my major, and I would have rather had it with a different professor. She is very scattered, disorganized, and for an English professor, not very eloquent. I had better poetry classes in high school. She is extremely touchy-feely "let's all be friends"-- if you like warm n' fuzzy, this professor is for you.

She makes learning the material fun. She covers her material well and gives a good selection books to make sure you have a good grasp on the information. She can be a little scatter-brained at times, but I don't judge that unless I walk a mile in her shoes.

She get's confused really easily, looses track of what she was saying, will stop midsentence, relies heavily on the books. Her tests were very specific and very hard, paper requirements weren't incredibly clear. She was nice though, just very scatter brained.

Alright for a professor. She's smart and knows what she's talking about, especially when it comes to poetry. However, an awful adviser. I have too many of the wrong credits because of her. Plus she went on sabbatical and never told me. I found out the day of registration because, of course, no one in the English department told me, either.

Hmmm she's OK like a majority of the professors at the University of Maine. Not a great college at all but it's cheap and the classes are smaller. It's a good safety school if all others fail.

By far one of my favorite. Many of us took another class with her the next semester. She took the time to get to know me personally, even asking if things were okay when I had missed a class (rare). Tough to write a paper for, but she motivates! I was able to improve by taking the time to meet with her during office hours.

If you don't mind listening to the word "um" every two seconds, then you'll make out okay. She literally says um every five words. She starts sentences, then changes directions. Very unclear as what to study for tests- doesn't specify this for you either. Good luck.
