Wonderful prof! The tests were a bit rushed but you just needed to be prepared. The final was hard and not much like the practice ones but not impossible. She is very approachable and always willing to answer questions after class. Would take any of her classes!

This material for this class in not challenging but don't worry, laura will make it seem like it is! She likes to make her tests super long and impossible to finish in the allotted time. Her notes are also very disorganized. Her exam was a KILLER. She's a nice person, but a horrible teacher.

With any other teacher, this would have been an easy course. Cowen made it far harder and more stressful than it needed to be. Midterms are extremely long and rushed (though fair questions themselves) and final was very hard. If you have the opportunity to take it with another teacher, I would urge you to do so.

Midterms and assignments are ok. Her notes are very confusing. The final is very long and tricky. She makes it almost impossible to complete in 3 hours. She is a difficult professor to deal with, but she likes to believe that she is the best professor of the Department of Mathematics and Statistics.

She was an ok Prof,found her notes very confusing sometimes. Will give "in class questions" that she puts up on the overhead. Sometimes questions were part of the homework set but many times these questions were nowhere to be found.As for the course itself; its a lot of material. Midterms (multiple choice) are brutal - they will try to trick you.

She's a total Bitch when it comes down to it. Sample midterms are not indicative of the real midterm. She's down right cruel when it comes to the questions she asks. She'll dock off 10% of your exam if you're even filling in your name on the bubble sheet after the alloted time. I truly think she is a mean person and has a cold heart. :(.

Good Teacher, easy midterms and assignments but final exam was 3 hours long and was very long and needed about 4 hours lets see her write a 4 hour exam in 3 hours so straight up if u take this class do well in the class and dont bank on the final becasue she makes it a b itch

She's really helpful and makes the class understandable. I didn't study much for the midterms, so they were hard. I did all of the questions she recommended from the textbook for the final and ended up doing really well. If you have to take stats take it with her!

Wonderful prof. If you sit in the front, answer her questions, and stay for the time she gives you, you will not be disappointed. Genuinly cares for the students and loves what she does. If you think it's hard, you're just not sitting close enough to the front.

She is a great prof! I have no complaints... she makes things very clear, keeps a dull subject fairly interesting, writes fair tests, hands out plenty of practice questions and cares about students! And anyone who says her class is too hard is crazy!!

While although her teaching style maybe slightly, ooo, well, boring, she more than makes up for it by being ridiculously nice outside (and inside) of class, very helpful and genuinely caring about how you do. If given a choice, I'd take Cowen above a Tsao anyday.
