Not awful but I wouldn't take the class again. The class was focused entirely around Jane Austen which wasn't made clear until the first day. Lectures all class period, every class period about whatever novel you're reading. Sparknotes helped. Must contribute in class or she gets mad. 3 papers and the midterm and final are in class essays, thats it

Comment:

Professor Dabundo was sweet as pie, but she has about as much personality as a slice of pie. This class was very dry, and at times it was a chore to get through. Great woman, genuinely nice human being, but may love her book selections too much to put any actual personality into her lectures. I'm not a Jane Austen fan, and that hasn't changed.

Oh, I can't say enough good things about Dr. Dabundo and this class! Learned so much about the Hebrew Scriptures outside of the usual New Testament perspective... changed my outlook on the ancient texts! A must-take elective!!

Dr. D is awesome. I took her for Hebrew Scriptures & New Testament as Literature. She did a great job of separating religion from literary biblical analysis. Class is discussion-based. Grading is 4 in-class essays, 1 group presentation, & 1 term paper. Attendance is mandatory. She is extremely knowledgeable and fun!

Jane Austen class. Very knowledgeable. She's written a book about the subject, quite literally. You read and watch movies. A few papers and no tests when I took the class. Comparisons between movies and books. Very nice, very flexible, willing to meet. Saw a play for this class of a Jane Austen book. Very rewarding class and engaging professor.

Dr. Dabundo is a wonderful professor. She?s very knowledgeable, funny, and makes the class fun! This class was focused on Jane Austen who Dabundo knows all about. Three papers and a written final were all of the requirements, as well as attendance, but believe me, no one wanted to miss a single day of this class! Take Dabundo!!

Mrs. Dadundo is so nice!! I loved her class. She knows what she is talking about and brings forth very great discussions. British Literature can only be so exciting, but she doesn't do a bad job. I would definitely take her again!

Was worried I'd be the only agnostic in the class, but Dr. Dabundo does a really good job of keeping discussions focused on literary importance and scholarly facts. Also had her for 2174, and I'll be taking her 19th Century British Lit in the Fall. Best professor I've ever had, and I've been in college for far too long!

I love Dabundo. She is the sweetest woman and incredibly smart. Feedback on papers is thorough, none of this marking what's wrong and moving on: She'll write you a paragraph at the end of your paper telling you what she liked/disliked, which shows that she really takes her time reading your paper. Definitely would take her again!

This is the sweetest woman you will ever meet. She knows her stuff. Her teaching style is lecture based off of students comments. You can rarely have a wrong answer in her class. Tests are an in-class essay. Grades come from the two or three tests, 2 papers, and attendence. She is an honest grader; she doesn't nick-pick. Wonderful experience.

Dr. Dabundo is AMAZING!!! She really knows her material and I have used what I learned in her 19th Century British Lit class in at least 3 other English classes since then.
