Dont take.I took AP classes all through high school and it didnt prepare me.she doesnt explain things thoroughly and over explains other things.she also talks AT you instead of TO you.She is usually a few minutes late,takes attendance,&doesnt respond to emails.She also wont really tell you what she wants in papers, just hints at it,its frustrating!

Dr. Jarmon is a smart woman she knows her stuff. She only takes 3 grades plus the final which isn't too good if you bomb one you bomb them all really. I love lit and reading but coming to class to have the story reread to us is not what I was wanting to gleen out of this class. Just make sure you go to class. I haven't gained anything actually.

She was always late for class at least anywhere from 5-13 minutes. Some days she just didn't show up at all. The topics for the paper were always terrible to write about, and several of them just seemed about racism. She tried to teach us as if we were little kids.

This was her first time teaching 445, but she could have done it differently. We spent every period listening to her read critical essays to us. She does not discuss the books and the only reason you read them is for the essays (3-fairly long). Honestly, I took minimal notes and did other homework on my laptop. Nice woman though

She is easily the worst teacher I have ever had at UTM. It was all i could do to make myself go to her class. If you want a good teacher take Sam Anderson. His class is very interesting and unlike Jarmon he will go out of his way to help you.

I had a wonderful experience in English 111, 112, and 260, but all that changed when I took Dr. Jarmon. She is extremely boring, rambles about things that don't relate, has a strict attendance policy, and in very non-specific about what she wants for papers, yet she is very tough on the papers. Keep sanity= don't take her!!

I took a class in high school to learn how to write papers and I never got anything lower than a 100. Dr. Jarmon's writing style is MUCH different than what I'd learned, so it took a while to get adjusted to. She grades papers very strictly and it's hard to get much better than a B, but if you put the work in the papers, you will get a good grade.

ok she was the worst prof. ever. I have always been good at English but she takes everything and makes it make no since at all. She is the worst and I would not even tell my worst enemy to take her.
