She was amazing. Very helpful outside of class and I definitely learned a lot from her. Her exams were really easy if you pay attention in class. Sometimes it was hard to understand her through her thick accent, but she definitely cares about her students and wants them to succeed.

Very nice, very easy but difficult to understand. She rambles a lot and often forgets that her students aren't fluent in italian. Very forgetful but overall she is a good professor; I would recommend her

She is extremely nice to some students (aka caucasian girls) but practically ignores everyone else. I heard her tell one Italian-looking girl "you can come talk to me anytime you want, I want to make sure you get an A!" and then to another student asking about a quiz "I don't have time for this". What??? PLAYS FAVORITES.

Raffo is a very nice lady. Her lectures are not always that clear, but you can figure out what is expected of you pretty easily. Go to office hours!!! It is the best way to do well in the class. Classes are enjoyable, but you benefit most from talking to her in her office.

Disappointment. I loved Italian 1 & 2 with De Appolonia but Raffo was not great. I was always confused, had to teach myself...didn't learn much at all. No one understands her when she tries to correct someone. Plays favorites like no other.

Wonderful, sweet, caring lady!!! She is always willing to help all of her students and is not too hard, not too easy. Very funny and adorable! A bit frazzled at times, but extremely intelligent and knows everything about Italian and world history.

She is the sweetest professor at BU! The lessons are slow and simple( in a good way). She is very accessible and wants everyone to succeed. The workload is very light and tests aren't that bad. She really gives you a good understanding of the language. I feel completely prepared to study abroad after a class with her!
