Comment:

Dr. Turner is a really sweet woman, her class was very interesting and easy as well. Aside from the frequent readings outside of class(I didn't always do them) the class is easy and we watch a lot of interesting/relevant documentaries. There are also weekly journal assignment which are one page and very easy to do. Taking her again for sure.

Comment:

Turner had pretty decent lectures if you don't mind her reading off of a powerpoint every class if thats not for you dont take her. Also, dont expect her to grade anything or use Bridges, you will have no idea what your grade is until the very end. Tests are hard and dont line up with study guide, she never reviews tests either.

I didn't receive a single test or quiz, mostly one page reflections and a couple projects. The class overall wasn't very interesting, but Dr. Turner really cares about you doing well, and often assigns extra credit. I would not have wanted anyone else for this class!

Comment:

Turner is a sweet lady but not the best teacher. If you can manage to read the book and study the powerpoints she posts you can pass on your own. I probably went to less than half the classes and got an A. Makes great study guides... STUDY and you'll do great.

Very nice lady, not the most engaged teacher. Definitely knows her stuff, but gives PowePoint lectures based mostly from the book (only used to study for tests). Two regular tests, one paper, and a final exam. No attendance taken. Study guides are somewhat helpful, just study hard. She takes a while to grade so it's hard to know how you're doing.

I really loved taking Child Development with Turner! It was such an interesting class. All we did was take notes. 2 tests and 1 paper during semester. I always got good grades on the test... so my advice is just show up for class, pay attention, study for tests and you will be golden!

She is very helpful if you ask questions or need help whether that means in class, after class, or through email. She offers optional extra credit and study guides. Her powerpoints are always online too. The lectures can be dry, but are clear. Overall, the class was easy if you studied for exams and asked questions if you needed clarification.

Okay, so if you like taking a class with a professor who doesn't really teach you, this is your class! Studyguides? sure. Do they contain the material that will actually be on your test? NO. Easy tests? NO. Test retakes? NO. Literally, just don't take this class. No matter how much you study, you'll leave the test feeling like you failed

Probably the most lovely person I have ever met on campus. She often cancels classes because of family issues but gives make up work. No tests or quizzes, only a few papers and a final presentation. In the end she was one of my absolute favorite professors. Would recommend to anyone!

Wonderful teacher, extremely nice person. You must do the readings because she bases her tests heavily on those assignments. She is very helpful though and goes over everything before tests, and if you have a problem she is really easy to talk to and will almost always make an exception for you.

Dr. Turner is really a good teacher. She is very clear and will tell you exactly what she wants on her papers and tests. Really easygoing, although her tests are pretty hard. Doesn't take attendance and as long as you study, you will do fine in her class!
