She's an amazing teacher.I loved her lectures,but the tests are HARD.The papers are honestly not that bad though.Beware,overall,she's a HARD grader.You have to do the reading!Just be polite and at least pretend that you're interested in the class. You'll be fine. To be safe,you should probably just avoid her until Junior/Senior year. Good Luck.

It's a lot of work. If you have the ability to manage writing two long papers, read constantly, and take difficult exams, then you'll be fine. She IS a great teacher and knows the subject. It just might be overwhelming at times, and isn't afraid to give exams at inconvenient times.

Now, I love Lauri but it took a good year or so for that to happen - you have to chip away at her. If you are musically inclined/talented, she usually instantly loves you. She definitely DOES play favorites, and luckily I'm on her good list. My best advice: be fake and try to get her to like you. If not, you'll regret it.

Doesn't have time for BS or laziness. Gets right to the point. I guess I'm a favorite bc I don't have a problem with this professor. She's very smart and knows her stuff. Don't get on her bad side! It will feel like you're walking on thin ice with her at 1st, but be nice and do your work and she'll love ya! She really is a nice, cheerful professor as long as you do your work.
