Comment:

Laurie was HORRIBLE! she hardly covered anything in her lecture notes. She would talk about stuff that wouldn't be on the exam and kept saying "you dont need to know this till chapter 9". She would talk about how she would fix the textbook. I ended up teaching myself everything because she didnt teach. When she did teach she was very unorganized.

Comment:

Lori is by far the worst teacher I've had. She does not follow her class notes and spends more time discussing she would have wrote the book than teaching the class the material. Often, the test content was not covered in lecture and when you receive a poor test grade she will degrade you and make you feel bad for her lack of teaching.

Although this teacher is very nice, her lectures are confusing and do not cover the material for the tests. She spent too much time "correcting" the textbook and arguing how she would have written it differently. On many occasions material on tests were NOT taught in class and I fact were part of chapters we hadn't even gone over yet

Comment:

She is a very nice person but not anywhere near the greatest at teaching Bio. Her lectures are very confusing and she won't get through the chapters. Gives a lot of online homework and leaves it up to you to try and figure out what is on the exam. I feel I have learned very little from this class. Doesn't seem as confident in Bio as she does Chem.

Laurie is funny and wants her students to succeed but they usually don't. Her lectures are filled to the brim with information and it is up for the students to discover what 10% of the material will be on the test. She's very nice but as a teacher her labs and tests are confusing and stressful, would not recommend.

While her lectures aren't the clearest I've experienced she goes over plenty of practice problems with the class and teaches it well. If I had to take another Chemistry class I would definitely take her course. She cares about your education and enjoys her work.

Bean can be a great teacher, but is not afraid to kick you to the curb under any circumstance that she doesn't like you. Be nice and don't talk to her although she can get off topic very often and loves to talk too much.

She is an excellent teacher. Her lectures are clear, thorough and extremely helpful. However, her class requires extensive reading and studying of the textbook. Her tests are not difficult if you are well prepared. I studied a lot, did practice problems every day, and ended up with an A in her class. Will take another class by Lori again!

The best part about the class was her sense of humor, she should seriously consider doing stand-up. On a more serious note, not only is she very passionate about Chemistry, she really cares about her students and wants you to succeed. Study hard, DO THE EXTRA CREDIT, & show up to class and you'll do well.

Professor Bean is an amazing teacher. She is very helpful and I loved going to her class. The exams are do-able, but not a walk in the park, so you will definetly want to study. You walk away from this class with alot of valuable knowledge. I would recommend this teacher/class (Oragnic Chem 1&2).

Shes an amazing teacher! I had NO* chemistry history in my past, she related it to real life so we could understand. As long as you put the time in to study and complete her given questions/pages on her notes and aren't afriad to ask questions or be tutored.. you'll pass with an A

She is extremely nice but you HAVE to study for her exams and make sure you do all the extra points she gives out it will matter in the end. I used the book ALOT! Print off the notes and read them over before class. All in all it was a okay class no big problems just a lot of studying.

She's a great teacher. She explains things well and will use example after example if the class isn't getting it. Her tests are fair. If you read the book and take notes you will do well. (know how to set up story problems.) Lab is the best part of the class!

I think Laurie is an awesome instructor, she definately knows what she is talking about. She makes this subject not boring,and makes it worth going to class. she has a sense of humor and makes it interesting, Ive been out of school 25 years and I have learned quite a bit from her..would highly recommend her!!
