This was the best class that I have taken in college so far. My writing skills improved with each class and with each paper. The class was very interesting and the professor truly cared in. I would reccommend this class to anyone who wants to improve their writing skills and fromm a great professor.

Dr. Grobman has helped me develop my writing more than most other teachers I've had. She cares deeply about her students' progress and never hesitates to reward and acknowledge good work. She also is an unending source of highly constructive criticism. I value everything she's ever written on my papers. She's helped me become a better writer.

Overall an easy class. Few readings (duh) but nothing you cant handle as a full time student. More 'discussion' based than 'teaching' based which is cool. Make sure you take notes on what she says, its the exam questions. You might feel overwhelmed because you discuss alot, but tests arent bad just alot of writing! Got an A, you should too =)

shes a good techer she does give alot of assignments and there is a quiz based from the homework every week.. shes a very fair grader but u must come to class and be on time and pay very close attention she likes to have very specific responces to all of her questions overall great class 4 aa lit but you have to be ready to do lots of reading !!!

This class was pretty good. Our class did not have any tests or quizzes, just response papers to the readings which were graded leniently. Of course there's a lot of writing and it is hard to get an A on a paper, but she does let you edit afterwards for additional points.

Laurie is great. The tests in 210 are very straightforward, questions are taken directly from the reading. She grades the essays fairly and leniently. There is a lot of writing required for her class, however and you do have to attend. The class is easy and fun if you can meet these requirements. She's also nice to look at. Highly recommended.

Waste your time in the computer lab and she is so opinionated that you don't stand a chance. If you're honestly looking to learn to be a better writer, then she's good. However, her personality leaves something to be desired.
