I don't even know where to begin with him. He is just all around not a very good teacher. Learned more in high school than I did in his class. If you don't already have the foundation for English you will suffer greatly. Not very helpful with feedback, "looks okay" is about as specfic as it gets. Would not take him again.

Leaves mean comments on papers, if you can even read them. Unreasonable grader. Unreasonable person. Rude to students. When asked for help says to "look it up". Thinks his is the only and most important class. Very strict with papers, but gives no clear criteria on how he wants them. Avoid him at all costs. For your sanity and your GPA.

VERY unclear on what he wants from us for assignments. A quiz everyday on a chapter. 10 page research paper on tax reform. 5 page proposal. Spends class talking about pointless things rather than teaching and telling us what he wants in our papers. VERY HARD GRADER. Doesn't understand we have other classes. Know it all. Cocky. Talks down to student

A ton of reading and writing in this class. Be prepared for it and do the work and it's not so bad. If you ask he is generally willing to help you and many of the papers he will allow corrections and re-submits. He is a tough grader and expects a lot but this is the type of class that will help later in writing. Not an easy grade but worth it.

Worst professor at Berks. He is not helpful and he thinks that he knows everything. If you write an excellent paper, he will assume that you cheated because he doesn't think that you can actually write a great paper. He doesn't teach you anything. All he does is give you like five books to read for the semester and a bunch of papers for each book.

This was a comic book class that I took during the very shortened summer semester (6 weeks). There was a paper due every week, sometimes two and a LOT of reading. I love comic books so I enjoyed the reading material and had already read 3 of the required reading but it was still really intense and a struggle to get everything done.

If you like to read and write a lot books that are more like textbooks take this class . But he is a good guy a very good teacher, even though he is a hard ass when it comes to papers it really does help you. I walked away with a lot more than knowledge than I came in with. Which is the exact reason I'm going to college. #4pages

P. Snyder is great overall. I had writing in the humanities with him and you could immediately see he was very enthusiastic, cared a lot about the material, and more importantly, his students. Don't expect an easy class and don't expect a perfect professor. With that said, Professor Snyder is easily my favorite professor of all time.

Nice guy, he's a cool teacher, but his grading is pretty tough. I had him for english 4 and it was harder than my english 15, but he does let you fix papers and get extra credit.

Best proff i ever had. Follows schedule. Gives you an opportunity to revise all your work (provides comments the first time you hand something in, and the second time you hand it in he gives you a grade). Fair grader. Likes quality work. Great person! I would love it if all my proffs were like him. Very understanding and helpful if you talk to him

He is awesome!!! I don't like engl. classes, but I always looked forward to coming to his class. The class isn't extremely easy. He's fair, helps if you want help, explains evrthing very clearly, due dates on syllabus, seems to be strict at first, but he is really a sweetheart. I definitely recommend him, teaches stuff you need to know in business

Great guy and great professor. He is kind of hard when it comes to grading, but after the first couple of papers it's your fault if you still don't do well. He helps you as much as possible without holding your hand. I would recommend this class. He has helped me TONS with my writing. :)

If you cannot take criticism or anything of the sort DO NOT TAKE HIS CLASS. He is a good guy and knows what he is teaching. Although I have failed a majority of his papers, my writing has improved drastically.

Nice man, hard grader. His essays are graded very strictly, and feel as if the course is higher level than it should be. Class is filled with your typical sci-fi geeks...it only really works for them. If your not into fantasy/ sci dont take the course. Also take eng 15 beforehand! Take his advice and drop the class if not interested in material.

READ THE BOOKS! He is a VERY HARD GRADER! He will tell you that your essay is excellent but then give you a 75. He thinks that a C is a good grade. The only way to do well in his class is to read the books, do well on the quizzes and go to him for extra help with the writing assignments. If you go to him for help, your grade will improve!

I hate this teacher! he is nice at first but he becomes very mean through out the course of the semester. He makes you write a paper per chapter on the book you are reading and grades tough. this class will get you prepared for english 15 and then some. DONT TAKE HIM.

191 was a great class. It was very discussion oriented, and he took everyones opinions. He is not mean or stubborn by any standards. He's a decent guy who presents literature and only aids in discussion and prompts it. Biggest thing in the class is the research paper...but its college...there are research papers
