I highly recommended Professor Powell. I have taken him for Math 115 and Math 125. He explains everything slowly and clearly. Homework and attendance is mandatory. You can't take any test without all your homework being done. He is very helpful if you ask him. He can be rude, but if you do the work and go to class on time you'll be fine.

Great guy, bad professor. "Uuumm, sooooo" would be his words for every problem we did in his class for lecture. Sometimes he could not do the problems himsef in his lecture. If you can learn on your own, great! take him. If not, keep looking. Calculus 3 requires a professor who knows what they're teaching like the back of their hand.

i thought he would be open minded and passionate. but he can be over bearing irritated and ruin your learning experience. doesnt seem to care about other student only the ones that are passing but will scold college students if they dont understand the material. wont let you take a test even if you miss one homework assignment. kind of rude.

Professor Powell is perfect if you need structure. He requires every problem on every homework assignment turned in one day prior to test day or you can't take his tests. It seems harsh but the constant homework prepares you for the tests. You must attend class and do the work and he is a fair instructor so you will pass. I would take him again

Wow, tough class since he expects you to know all the material from first to last day of lecture. Test are doable if you study your butt off, and know your theorems. Homework is mandatory and is due two days after he assigns it. He also criticizes engineers almost every other day. So engineers beware!! Cool guy, but just takes dedication to pass!!

He is a great teacher and really knows what he is teaching. At first you may not like his homework and test policies but trust me. He has them to benefit you! Be there every day for the lectures, pay attention, and do your homework. You will pass with an easy A. =D

he a kool guy! hes rockin skinny jeans all the time! he tends to daze off sometimes, hes not tough but you will have to pay attention because class goes by pretty fast. he can be annoying by saying "you cant go in automatic pilot all the time" or " you've got to feel it in your heart" hes all right!

Mr. Powell is a very nice, helpful instructor. However, u do need to do the hw where a lot of test questions come from. Don't just copy the solution book. Simply follow these, u can definitly get a good grade. Plus, he gives curve!
