We use a program called MySocLab where we have a quiz on the upcoming chapter every week. We basically taught ourselves the chapter, took the quiz, and THEN he taught the chapter in class. Kind of pointless. Material isn't difficult, but the exams are hard and poorly worded. Lots and lots of articles on the exam. Get ready to read.

This class was very informational. Every class period he lectured and we took notes. Use the study guides he hands out to study and if you want to get an A read and watch the videos and articles he assigns. Do the weekly assignments theyll boost your grade. Biggest grades are 3 major tests - make sure to study.

I had him for sociology of the family. Cute old man who wants to get people to participate in class. He passes around an attendance sheet. Give him a chance and his teaching style will grow on you. You will have to do weekly readings and review questions online.

Dr. Rosenberg is an amazing professor. I had him for Sociology of the Family and I really did enjoy the class. Almost all class time is notes and lectures, and he tries to make them interesting. He has weekly quizzes online, so I would DEFINITELY say that you better read the chapters. Exams are somewhat difficult, but overall I liked him very much

This class was easy for me, but some people struggled. I did well on the exams, but you have to study and read everything he assigns. It is a lot of reading every week and he gives reviews for the exams, which are really helpful. He literally picks questions from the review. I'd take him again if I needed to. I took this as a gen ed requirement.

I had Modern Correction as a 3 hour lecture and it was brutal! Dr. Rosenberg in a great guy, but he does give hard test. I didn't think many notes, I just made sure to do the Chapter Reviews to study for tests. The class trips were interesting!

Exams are absolutely killer- can cover up to chapters. Gives lots of detailed notes and has online quizzes for each chapter that can help boost your grade. Isn't too hard if you spread out the reading, but it piles up and can be a lot when it comes to test time. I wouldn't recommend him if you value your GPA

Worse teacher I have ever had. Does not cut you any slack. The hardest grader, and has no idea how to teach online classes. I took this because I wanted to raise my GPA. He only made it worse. Worse teacher at Millersville. DO NOT TAKE HIM.

I took this class on a whim and actually enojyed the class. Dr. Rosenberg is a super nice, very interesting professor. I took the 3 hour night class and it was never too hard to pay attention. He gives DETAILED notes, however only 3 tests. If you make the mistake of bombing ONE test, you are up the creek. I would take his class again.

One of those classes that is based on 3 exams and that's it. If you don't do well on the exams, forget it. I took the class once a week for 3 hours. Students in the class were immature, disruptive, & rude; he let this continue throughout the course. Really nice guy & pretty funny. Just not a fan of how the course was set up. You must study.

had this class online over winter break and it was a lot of work. You have a discussion and an assignment for each chapter-which you do about 2-3 chapters a week-An open book mid term and final too. So overall it was a lot of papers but as long as you put some time and thought in your work you should be good. I got an A-.

He is a very nice professor. He gives 3 tests. The final is cumulative so you must study hard for it. He also gives online quiz's which help boost up your grade. Class is mandatory and it is very important you go because he gives a lot of notes!! I studied extremely hard and only got a B in the class however, I do recommend him!

Wow. Where to begin. Took Socy of the Family with him Spring 2012 and absolutely loved it. He always kept it interesting. Dr Rosenberg is an expert in Criminal sociology, and his knowledge definitely shows in his teaching. He is an awesome guy who is laid back, very kind, and is always willing to help. take him if you can.

I had Dr. Rosenberg for Sociology of the Family online. He was consistent and frequent in updating the class with due dates, which I liked. He was also very thorough in his explanations--a big help. The textbook use was high. This is a decently challenging class. Worked hard to get a B. I wouldn't mind taking another class with him!

I enjoyed Dr. Rosenberg and this class. The book wasn't necessary, but you definitely develop a better understanding if you read the chapter before the lectures. Tests are intermediate, not too difficult but you still have to try. It's a lot of common sense knowledge. Shows a lot of videos which is interesting. Hope you like John Stossel!

Nice guy, kind of boring and liberal at times, but the class is so easy. I sometimes felt lost in class, but always got A's on tests. The trips to the jails and the courthouse were amazing! They were my favorite parts of the class. (but don't drive with him or follow him to the jails/courthouse, he is SUCH a slow driver. It will drive you crazy)

Very nice man, boring class, lectures are not very easy to take notes on- he has powerpoints that he reads from but doesn't show or post, you have to buy the book to get the powerpoints... i didn't use the book 1 time but i got the powerpoints from someone else in class. Really did not learn much. 3 tests total MC+3 essays, 1 survey ppr. man. att
