He is an amazing professor. His classes are interesting and engaging. He often shows youtube clips or shares a news article with us that pertains to english. He encourages you to weave in your knowledge from other classes. He collects several rough drafts before he grades your papers so its not hard to do well.

An educator by profession, a student at heart. A semester with Lee is give-and-take: he works hard to teach, but he expects all his students to bring their experience and *researched* opinions to the table. He'll entertain any opinion, conservative or liberal, as long as you back it up. Six years later and he's still as much my mentor as my friend.

Probably the most frusterating teacher that I've ever had!He does bring up interesting points in class, but also has no interest in considering opinions that don't match his own. Doesn't follow his own syllabus, emphasizes using technology in class but doesn't even respond to emails! Feels that his doctoral work is more important than his teaching!

Very intelligent man, put together somewhat interesting discussions. Very friendly in and outside the classroom, however he is very challenging. His essays and journal entries require some time and thought, but if you put in the work, you can pass. Not an easy A if you're looking to boost your GPA.

worst teacher ive had @ richmond... too hard and way too liberal (for me that is). very unclear about what he expects... but DOES expect exceptional work when it comes to papers... can't satisfy the man unless you believe everything that he does

Ok, here is how it is. This teacher is far to left leaning for me. For someone who teaches tolerance he has very little. His beliefs tend to get in the way of the task at hand, that is teaching english.. Do not take this class unless you are a hard core left leaning dem.

He is awesome! So fun, so smart, so interesting. What surprised me is that, although he is liberal, he was fair to all of us conservatives. I actually wanted to hate him... but I couldn't, he didn't give me a chance.
