he's a really cool professor in my opinion. had him for a three hour class on religion, which isn't the most interesting, but if you show some genuine interest and go to class, you'll do just fine. open discussion type of class and based off of online readings, but overall, he's a cool professor. recommend him.

Interesting only if you care about religion and its evolution. Was pretty boring because the class was 3 hours long and he did not try to let us out early. Lots of reading every week from selected articles, but it is not exactly mandatory. The readings were helpful when writing the final 10 page paper, but not required for each class.

He is an intelligent professor. can come out rude time to time depending on his mood. he doesnt trick you with reviews or slides; he is actually the first professor who teaches legit with his slides. attend his classes, if you're desperate for A!! I think he's a fair prof, couple exams and an essay. not a hard class but you gotta work for it

Dr. Cronk was one of my favorite professors at Rutgers. This class has interesting class material and as long as you pay attention during lecture, you will be prepared for the exams. He is very professional, a little dry at times, but overall a great class! I studied a few hours before each exam and still got an A.

The class should be easy, especially if you have taken any other anthro class. However, for this class, social evolution, he gives an 50 question, all multiple choice test and the answers are like: A, B, C, all of the above, none of the above, A and C, A and B. So imo that is a lazy teacher. Gave me my only non-A grade (& im a science major)

Cronk is a cool guy, tells lots of stories and shares lots of knowledge. Can seem a little pretentious at times but he's just super well read and knowledgeable about his subject matter. Lectures can drag on sometimes (not much discussion and long boring slides) but if you're interested in the subject matter it is all interesting. Likes questions

I had Prof. Cronk for Social Evolution, and it was one of my absoloute favourite classes. The material is SO interesting and Cronk knows what he's talking about. If you're confused, just ask him to clarify after class and he will. He's a really good professor and really easy to deal with. Tests are hard if you don't show up, so don't miss class.

I took 325 and 328 back to back last semester, so even with a double dose of Cronk, I loved both classes. He likes to give a good amount of small assignments and one or two exams, but he lets you know approximately what will be on the exam and didn't throw curve balls. He cares about his students and learns your name. One of my fav profs at RU

Wonderful professor. Exams are straightforward and easy. All you have to do is go to class and read very little of the textbook (he clarifies exactly which parts), and you're golden. His lectures are pretty interesting, especially on his own research.

The class was pretty interesting, even though my major has nothing to do with anthro. Cronk is really sweet and he makes the material clear and easy to understand. I suggest taking it!

Cronk is a great guy; very funny and cool and explains the material well. The class can be a bit difficult if you don't attend class because exam questions are on class discussions that aren't included in the textbooks or powerpoints. Go to every class and read the book (it really helps!) and it should be an easy A.

Dr Cronk is an amazing professor. Very nice guy, occasionally funny, kind of cute. Although there were a bunch of assignments, the final was easy and he's a lenient grader. The games we played in class helped to put the material in context. The only complaint I have is that he does icebreakers - really? Take his class!

Yes, he can be kinda boring (especially at that time of day) and his exams are tricky, but if you make sure to go to class, REALLY LISTEN to what he's saying, TAKE REALLY GOOD NOTES (you might want to record his lectures), and STUDY HARD, you'll do fine. He does post his slides online a week before the exam but you really need to go to class.

Awesome professor, great teaching style. He posts slides online but you probably won't know what he's talking about unless you show up to class. Buy the book, it's worth it if you miss a few classes. Can't wait to have him again next semester.

Soc Evo - interesting material, cronk cracks jokes every so often. Tests included "all the above, a and b, a and c" questions thus making them fairly difficult. gives slides on sakai and study guide. YOU CAN DO IT!

Dr. Cronk is pretty much awesome. His teaching style is good- he is very clear and concise with everything he teaches and explains everything so you will understand. His exams aren't that hard- 50 multiple choice- slight curve. Attendance is not mandatory but attending class will probably help. Overall, very nice guy and good professor.

this class is really interesting but the exam questions are sometimes hard. You definitely have to read everything he tells you to read and remember some of the statistic numbers in the books and such. Sometimes he doesn't give you enough time to take notes from the power point so make sure you're paying attention. He curves tests. not so easy A

very bad teacher, he expects u to remember very word he says in class. puts on power point slides during lecture but they r useless bcoz he doesnt give u enough time neither to copy the notes nor to understands wht he's talking abt. and notes are very confusing, but very interesting material. and exams r kinda hard realtive to wht he teaches
