My English isn't good, also I had long break not being a student, raising kids, HW prep took me more than 25 hours per week. But I got deep knowledge of the course, I enjoyed of studying a lot. I always was welcomed by professor to ask questions, he is very intelligent person. I passed exam successfully, so I think everybody can do it too.

I am a former straight-A student. 5 hours spent per class studying outside of class earned me a D. This man is incapable of teaching, and worse, he cares NOTHING for his students. He delights in exhibiting his knowledge, while insuring he imparts none of it upon his pupils. WORST PROFESSOR EVER. Take this course at another institution if necessary.

awful teacher. he seems like he tries to be a good teacher and would stay after to finish "teaching", but his examples were awful and poorly explained. he has a habit of not even saying what the problem he is solving is, and just jumping into a problem midway with no explanation. the class started full, and ended with 7 or 8 people. avoid him.

Horrible. Ended up teaching myself from the book. If I hadn't taken high school stats I wouldn't have passed this class. Showed up to class just to pass in homework and then left. If you have a choice of taking ANYONE else, do it.

Worst teacher I've ever had. Incomprehensible. Girl asked a question and he responded with "you people are so elementary, you wouldnt last a second in the other classes i teach". Started with 40 students only a dozen or so after first 2 weeks. bad teacher, not even pleasant to be around. Always got chalk on his face or pants. Thats why i stayed.

had him for intro to stats Class started with 40 people and ended with about 15, but he ended up to be so easy in the end its very difficult to understand his teaching unless you have taken a calc course before he said if you did poor on the midterm and HW but got an A on the final you would get an 'A' in the class he helped people out during final

Absolutely terrible! Don't take his class! He refuses to explain anything, goes way off on a problem, and says this is for future reference, yet never uses it. Not worth the time or money, and is a waste of air.

This man made my semester a living hell. I did all of the HW, visited the tutoring center daily, and was always asking him questions during his office hours. None of this helped, for all my effort he gave me a C and failed 3 of the 5 people left in our class! Thanks to him my GPA last semester went down from a 3.95 to a 3.50!

He is useless at teaching, no one understands him, and when he is asked to explain something he either ignores the question or goes off on a tangent. I already knew calculus II when i took his class and just do the homework no problem. He has a hatred for calculators. People only show up for the tests. Avoid him and/or drop him!

His heart is in the right place, and he is a good researcher and hard worker, but he does not know how to teach. He is into proving theorems and for a first exposure to stats, is very daunting. The way round is to simply ignore his proofs and focus on the text book, teach yourself, and ask him problems you couldn't solve. This is how I got an A.

Took stats and probability because it was a requirement. Was lost on day 1. On of my professor's overheard me talking about how awful the class was... asked if I had Lee Jones! Told me to drop ASAP. Scary when profs are telling you to drop other prof's classes! Promptly did. AVOID AVOID AVOID! You will end up dropping and need to reschedule class.

Stay home, read book and just show up for exams. Just when you thought you really understood a topic, Jones will come out of nowhere and confuse the heck out of you with thereoms and proofs. Avoid at all cost!!!

Does not teach the material very well. He concentrates on proofs of theorems, which have very little bearing on your ability to use said theorems. If you want to do well in the course you will have to rely on the book to teach you. Average grade in the course was approximately C.
