Leesa cares about her students and while not perhaps giving tons of technical feedback on their work, does offer lots of critical thinking to grow their art. She can give references for students to look up to and also has a way of inspiring a positive outlook on the work produced.

Marks super arbitrarily, does not demonstrate an understanding of technical drawing and thusly does not mark people proportionate to the amount of time/effort/consideration of content in their work. Very stuck in her ways, don't expect to learn techniques. Very nice lady and can be friendly / helpful but not my favorite prof.

By far the best instructor I've had in the Visual Arts department. Leesa is incredibly helpful and assigns some really interesting projects. Definitely recommend!

Leesa has a wonderful sense of humour and is very personable, and she is not a pushover. I found her very fair, and while her own prefered style is loose and expressionistic, she is able to appreciate and work with students who are more interested in representational art (such as me!) Excellent professor, in my opinion.
