This was a horrible introduction to Economics, and actually encouraged me to switch my major. Professor Pratt is rude to her class and unhelpful. Her lectures do not correlate with the tests at all. Do not take choose this professor unless you want to be mocked, berated, and perpetually confused.

The worst professor I've had. She was condescending and hateful. I organized study groups frequently and made the time to visit her during office hours and ask for assistance. I was met with disdain and was even yelled at for asking a question. She was hardly present for class. Horrible attitude, difficult material, and she offers no assistance.

She is a very nice lady, but the content on the exams do not really line up well with the homework and classwork completed. There are 4 exams and a final. No quizzes and about 7 or 8 homework assignments. Overall it was a fairly easy class, I just wish I had studied more so I could get a better grade.

Horrible professor. Avoid like the plague. She's mean, her tests are extremely difficult for a 1000 level course, and she does not care about helping her students one bit.

Dr. Pratt is very clear and concise, which is great in econ. She is reasonable in her expectations and gives lots of opportunities for you to show what you do or don't know. Not warm and fuzzy, but a good teacher. Definitely go to class...I never used the textbook but her lectures are a must-have.

Dr. Pratt she is not understanding esp if it is health concerns. I had a medical reason to miss a test and it did not matter to her. I even told her in the beginning of the year of the medical concern and she acted like she did not care. STAY AWAY!

Don't take her. She may be an okay teacher but her sour and mean personality is not worth it. She seriously needs therapy to deal with her anger. Take someone else.

Dr. Pratt loves her subject. One-on-one, she is very helpful. But when students asked questions in class, she'd often come across as if she was mocking them when she answered. She was mostly clear (all humans make errors), but there were times when a study guide contained information we hadn't learned yet. Take her for anything but micro.

She was not very helpful. I went to her office quite a bit after I did bad on a test, and she can be very rude. She is not very good at explaining things when you have a hard time understanding. Also, she gives quizzes the after the lecture that you learn the material in, which makes it very hard to understand it completely on the quiz.

Good teacher and makes you understand content. Tests are moderately difficult but nothing her study guides and practice questions do not prepare you for. Be careful on your phone in here because she WILL call you out in front of everyone. She can be a bit of a smart ass but nothing too bad.

Not an EASY A, but if you put in fairly minimal effort you will get atleast a B. She gives extra credit pretty often, lots of easy homework, and tests are fairly easy if you put in the right amount of studying. Pay attention in class or else she will snap at you in front of everyone.

Pratt is the best choice for econ. Attendance isn't mandatory. The way she talks will drive you crazy but also make you laugh. Don't get the book. Just go to class and take notes and you will be fine. Also gives a good bit of extra credit.

TAKE HER!!! Go to class and pay attention and you will do well. NO TEXTBOOK! But lots of notes. She's a little weird, says physical instead of fiscal and dollas instead of dollars. Both will drive you crazy, but at least the class is very easily passable and if you put in effort an A is very doable.

Good teacher. No Economics class here is "easy", but Pratt makes it reasonable. 3 tests and a final, multiple choice and 1 or 2 essay. I would take her again. Not afraid to let class out early either.

Dr Pratt is a wonderful professor. She is very helpful if you are reasonable in your requests. She does expect a high level of knowledge in her senior level courses but is still very fair. Don't take her if you can't do well without somebody holding your hand, or if you can't take responsibility for your mistakes, it won't fly with her.

I absolutely love Professor Pratt. I took her for Macro and Micro. I am not an economics professor, but she made the subject enjoyable to me. Attendance is a necessity. She randomly has quizzes in class. You do not need the text book. As long as you take good notes in class and listen to everything she says, you'll do well. :) Definitely take her!

Great teacher-explains things well, is always helpful but definitely not an easy A. Probably the most important thing is being in class. I never missed a class for the first 2 tests, didn't study & made A's on both of them. I missed several classes before the 3rd test, tried to study & made a low C-overall enjoyed her class & taking her again!

I had Dr. Pratt for 1010 and 1020 and lover her both times! If you show up to class and actually pay attention you will do fine. Don't be afraid to ask questions and make sure to take advantage of EVERY extra credit opp. given. The tests can be somewhat harder, but study hard and study her examples and you'll get an A.
