Does a good job of hitting the important points of the relevant denominations. Very self-important type - if you repeat his opinions from lectures word for word you will get an A. If you deviate or disagree expect a B or C. Very liberal and not interested in hearing alternative viewpoints. But, an intelligent man.

The tests were difficult and he would insult people in class as a matter of course (and not in a funny way). Also, he completely ignored religions that were not Christian, Muslim, Jewish, or Hindu and only dicussed Christian and Jewish in class.

Religion in America is a great class. Should be a requirement for Social Science majors. Sandon is a great teacher- of course he wrote the book! He has an enthusiasm for this subject that allows you to understand US history and the world like no other
