I had Leon Price in 1986, when the MIS degree program first began. He was tough then too! It's not his age, it's his demeanor. But you can learn from him, take the class seriously as he does. He's a stickler; don't be 1 second late in handing in anything - it'll cost you a full letter grade.

Fairly good class. Interesting teacher and he seems to care about his students. His tests are VERY hard. Take advantage of his office hours!!! He helps w/test questions. Take advantage of the bonus opportunities and lab in this class, they aren't exaggerating when they say you will need every last point!!

Its disappointing that I am required to take this awful class. If I dont get into the business school because this T-Rex im going to rage. This type of class forces me to question the legitimacy of administration. It's really a shame I transferred to a school with crap classes like this.

This class is so difficult especially if you are not a computer nerd. Plus it will put you to sleep in no time. I do hear that if you go to his office hours he will give you some of the questions on the test. The tests are ridiculous. They are horrible, but you have to take it. If you can get in the honors, do. I hear the teacher is great.

Wow, I hated this class. Price is arrogant and annoying. Even when I forced myself to go to class, I regreted going. But unfortunately he is the only MIS into teacher and its required for most business degrees, so... sucks to be y'all.

Tests are pretty hard. He will tell you a few test questions prior to the test though and during lectures. Lectures are boring, he gets off topic about himself too much. Lab section is like a totally different class so go to it!

He plays favorites way to much & talks about how awesome he was in the Navy & how he got to use the 1st computer EVER instead of trying to prepare us for the test we are going to miserably fail. Whoever is letting this dinosaur teach is doing all of us a dis-service. This class has become a gateway course, and he holds the keys - high standards and tests impossible to do well on. Who knows where he gets the questions - how much more obscure and unhelpful could it get?

Dr. Price means well but he lets his TA write the test and they are pretty close to impossible. I studied for hours for each one and my grades did not reflect off my efforts, which can be very frustrating. His curve last semester was not helpful either.
