Comment:
Leslie is a caring prof who gives good feedback. This class is reasonable; the speeches can be done in a day or two in a pinch) and if you make it clear you're attempting to apply his feedback to your next speech, you'll do well. This class is mostly listening to speeches, which are usually really fun; the whole community in the class is great.

Leslie has the loudest voice I've ever heard. This course isn't an easy A, but a put some effort into it A. For each of your speeches you have a very clear idea of what you need to improve on and if you actually follow up on that, you'll get a good grade. Time commitment is minimal since you can prepare a speech in a few days. 8/10.

This class was interesting as it allowed us to develop important skills. But I think he marked super hard for a first year course, although his feedback was often comprehensive. We all thought it would be easy, but we had to write 3 speeches. The course was good, but would not recommend the prof.

Leslie is so much fun, he's cool, inspiring and gives good feedback. He's also one of few professors that clearly value international students. This is the funniest, easiest, but still the most useful class I took this semester.

One of the best classes taken in my whole degree. If you're looking for high A's, on your speeches be ready to actually listen to feedback and try and focus on what he wants. Hilarious class, made friends, and was one of the most enjoyable parts of my week.

Leslie is such a sweat heart. He usually gives great feed back on your speech which could help you to improve your speech skills a lot. This is such a useful course. Unfortunately, this course is no longer a super breeze but it is still pretty easy. As long as you put a little effort on your speech, you will get a good mark for sure !!!

What a great prof and great class! You learn so much that is applicable in daily life and it makes you a better speaker and even a better person. He showed us how to do a speech with clarity and confidence. I used to be a shy public speaker, but I LOVE doing speeches now! Take this class, you will come out of it feeling better and more confident.

So, basically the class was very easy. You just hangout with a bunch of students for 3 hours and it was a ton of fun. Some of the speeches were hilarious, it was like going to a comedy show. BE CAREFUL. You cannot half ass the listener assignments, those thing made my grade go down by a decent amount when it should have been an easy A.

Leslie was really funny and helpful. I went into the class terrified and never having done a speech before and I definitely improved over the semester. Really fun, laid back, and EASY class (even if you suck at public speaking!) Great environment too, which really help calm the nerves. I recommend this class with this prof to everyone!!

This class was my fav this semester. Leslie is really nice and funny and makes the classes interesting. Only 3 speeches the entire class + participation marks so an easy A if you put effort into your speeches. Even if you're afraid of public speaking take this class because it is geared towards those kind of people! Would highly recommend!

Literally the easiest class to get an A+ in ever. Only 3 speeches the entire semester. Only downfall is attendance is mandatory; 1% off for every class missed and .5% off for even being late. Lowest grade was one B in my class, with 4 B+s, and the rest in the A range with A+s too. Leslie was a doll

Public speaking class--- one tip I'd like to stress is to chose a speech topic that relates well with your audience (your fellow classmates).Great class to take in the summer.

Leslie knows the Theatre inside and out. The class was the funnest I've ever taken at University, we played games and he made the whole class like a familly. No exams, only some written and acting work. Although he expects stuff done his way, and marks you down if you do it differently, but I have no experience in THEA and didn't care, I didnt care

Great guy and great prof. It is quite easy to get a good grade in his class as long as you show up and just do the work. We played games for most of the first two weeks of a 3 weeks class. The last week was a bit more work but nowhere near unmanageable. He even went to have beers with us after the class was done. Lots of fun!

I signed up for his section after hearing good reviews about him, and he didn't disappoint. Extra supportive and helpful for students who are scared of public speaking, like myself, and also provides constructive feedback for students more experienced in public speaking. I'd definitely recommend taking public speaking with him.

Way too much fun for a summer course. You may just be learning how to "warm up" rather than "act," but I didn't hear a single complaint. Good times had by all.

Good class, means well but is just a all around bizarre guy. His teachings are contradictory, but it's theatre 122, quite easy to get in the A range if you attend and participate.
