Great course. I recommend it if you are looking for an amazing class outside of your major. I took it in my senior year and learned a lot. It's my last semester as a senior. I wish I had discovered this professor earlier.

Amazing lectures. Clear explanations of the readings. Desmangles is helpful and available outside of class. He gave me some great ideas for my extra grade paper. I ecommend this course.

I don't know how people can say that this is the worse protest at Trinity. He is a great lecturer. The course is well organized. This is a great course where i learned a lot about so many different cultures.

He is one of the most well-known scholars in his field, is hilarious, and explains well. His classes are not hard, are interesting, and he doesn't take attendance. One of the best teachers at Trinity.

This is a teaching style that students either love or hate. Go w/ the flow. He teaches by only giving a little bit of traditional lecture and then explaining the terms & concepts more throughly by telling stories. This can be an easy class Go to class, listen, write almost everything down decide later whats important, read text only when in despair

I was very interested in taking this class, but know I totally regret it. He never has time to meet if you have a question, skips meetings he arranged. Acts like he knows everything and your interoperation is always wrong. His grading is solely based on what he thinks, no room or creativity or personal thoughts. He is also very unorganized.

Very unorganized. Going to class is pointless due to the fact that he just repeats everything you read in the readings for the assigned day. I did well in his class, an easy B/B+, and an A if you work a little harder. But he is very arrogant and thinks too highly of himself and is kind of a d bag.

His class was one of the worst. The topic was interesting but his teaching is awful. He has this I'm better than you type of attitude and quickly picks his favorite students. His grading is extremely random and at sometimes unfair. He is also extremely unorganized and uses words that do not exist. He also tends to repeat many things in lecture

Great person, not so great professor. Lectures are all over the place and sometimes he contradicts himself. He can be harsh in grading and the tests are tough, but if you go talk to him he'll give some points back. He wants to see people do well.
