Be prepared to read (most) of Woolf's novels in three and a half weeks. But, it's worth it. The syllabus looks painful, but when you get into the work it's not half bad. Leslie is an amazing professor, too. She's incredibly passionate about everything she teaches. High recommend to good, caring students.

Eccentric? Check. Crazy office? Check. Crazy class schedule? Check. Brilliant? Definitely. Worth taking a class with? YES. Speak up, identify the unclear areas of the syllabus *right away*, throw all your expectations out the window, go with the flow, and you'll be fine. Her classes are difficult, but also extremely rewarding.

Leslie Hankins is eccentric, to say the least. But that's what makes her great. How many other profs will set up a party when you walk into class the day you're discussing Mrs. Dalloway? Just go with the flow, speak up, pay attention, and be creative. Hankins is open to just about anything you want to try, so go for it. Such encouragement is refreshing.
