Dr. Wright is amazingly knowledgeable and a surprisingly wry and witty person. Her lectures are long and often boring, but they're jam-packed with information, and if you can manage to focus on them and take decent notes, you will learn a LOT. Her study guides are terrible - basically just "study everything". Exams are essay-based.

I really enjoyed Dr. Wright's class, even though many people thought it was quite boring. I don't think anyone actually stays completely awake and focused for the entire semester, but as long as you make an effort to take consistent notes and read the textbook for any information you missed, you will do well.

this class reminded me of bentley's hist 151 class where you have to memorize an overwhelming amount of information for tests. on the bright side, she gives a study guide :) the subject is boring though (i give her props for teaching it). regardless she's a decent teacher, but don't fall behind otherwise you'll be in for it on tests

Extremely boring teacher. Hard to follow directions and excessive reading from the textbook required, making exams unbelievably hard. Fair grader, but heavy on essay questions for exams. Hard to stay awake in class if History isn't your "forte"

Dr. Wright is an awesome professor! I highly enjoy her class... it's very interesting to learn about music by listening/watching pieces of music. She is a very sweet woman with dry wit. ^_^

i must admit, she got A LOT better since the first time i took history from her...but she is very hard to follow and she jumps around a lot when giving important information...but she's not 100% faithful to her attendance policy which is a definate plus
