Comment:

Professor Bonnell makes it easy to get a good grade so long as you take notes and actually study for a couple hours for each quiz. You dont need a textbook and you really dont have homework, so its really a calming class (with minimal lighting!). Would take her again if I could. Shes such a sweet, enthusiastic woman.

Every class she turns off the lights and goes over powerpoints about random facts that won't even be on the tests. Good luck staying awake. Her tests are pure memorization of pointless facts you'll forget right after the exam. She makes you write a research paper and is a somewhat tough grader for a class of this level. Avoid this class at all cost

I really like Dr. Bonnell. She does give a lot of papers and her tests require a lot of memorizing, but that's okay because she is a fair, possibly even an easy grader. She helps u out SO much with the papers, her directions are beyond clear and she helps u out with ur research. She's very prepared and kind to her students. I would take her again!

requires way too much effort if you're just taking this class as a required core. tests are very specific and fully based on memorization. lectures are boring and not very helpful. very detailed and specific about the papers you write...

Dr. Bonnell is one of the kindest professors. She is very knowledgable in her field and always willing to make time for a student. Her class is straightforward and she makes it easy and clear cut because she knows many students are just in it for the core credit. This is not your typical AH class theres less memorization and less technical writing.

She's too cute, but so boring! No quizzes, but plenty of easy papers. Tests are harder than you'd think, but it's still a solid class. Just get ready to sit through the longest lectures of your life. Coffeecandy is highly recommended.

Bonnell is a fair teacher. The test and quizzes are straightforward enough and she gives a lot of partial credit. Write down everything you remember to get full credit. The museum trips and final project are easy if you put the work into it. She also gives extra credit, so it's not too bad to get a good grade.Throw away the syllabus, it's not used.

This is the core course you get with a bad registration time: prof who cannot stay on the syllabus. You will need to drink 10 cups of coffee before class just to stay awake in the dark room. She doesn't get through the material, but it doesn't matter that much - most students are asleep or just taking it for core and don't care. Avoid if you can.

Dr. Bonnell overal is a very nice woman who loves to teach art history. She does find behind the syllabus a bit but is able to keep up with it in the end. She gives you what she wants you to know for the exam and wouldn't want you to memorize useless information. She takes attendance everyday so make sure you show up!

Dr. Bonnell is a pretty cool woman. She does speak in monotone and that in a dark room is no good. However, you can tell shes really really into what she teaches particularly in the upper level courses. Had her for Contemporary learned alot. Excruciatingly boring core class taught in the dark by a teacher who drones on in a monotone. Barely any students took the class - for good reason. Take music or studio art for fine arts core instead. (You can take other core courses if you are an elementary ed major; don't let advising put you in this one!!!)

Throw out your syllabus on the first day because she won't be able to stay on it, she's spacey and disorganized, it sucks that this course is required for the minor, you can get work done for other classes while she is rambling though because she won't notice, she doesn't get to Catholic art at a Catholic school

She comes in and talks in a monotone, and it's very hard to stay awake. She also falls completely behind on the syllabus and doesn't get to the most interesting material. It's basically a course on prehistoric and Egyptian art. She does all of Roman and medieval in two weeks at the end. COMPLETE WASTE OF TIME, especially if you study classics.
