It's an advanced physics course and you have three 12-question multiple choice tests. And that is it.

I like Dr. Wang personally, but he is not a good teacher of physics. He knows his stuff, but he does not take enough time to ensure that his students learn the basics. When people ask questions in class he acts put out. The tests are the only grading criteria, so make sure you don't have a bad day.

Didn't teach. He is the worst professor that I have ever had the misfortune to have. He would ask people for questions, and in the off chance that we knew what to ask he would solve the problem on the board, incorrectly. This would later be confirmed as our study group would practice. Terrible professor, only people that did well cheated.

This class only has 3 tests, a term paper, and a final. All tests including the final are open book, open notes, and open laptop. Some of the questions are left out of the notes on the tests but overall as long as you go to class and write down the slides it should be an easy class.

Try to take circuits with this class. Tests are 12 questions long and no partial credit. Open laptop and notes test, but won't help you any. Says he's open to help you, but holds office hours at the most inopportune times. Tests are brutal

His lectures are all theory, so don't expect for him to work problems that would be on the test. They are 12 question multiple choice questions. The only way I have done good on the tests is from learning it on my own. The textbook makes more sense than he does. Also had the door shut on me when I went for help. I hate the class and I have an A....

He is a meek man who is passionate about energy use. His voice doesn't really draw you in. I mostly check emails in class. You can use notes on tests but you need to show up to class to get the notes. Likable guy. The class doesn't take much of your time. I highly suggest taking the class with a friend.

Even though the tests are open-note, the notes only go so far. I was a little disappointed to be honest. He doesn't use BB or have your term paper and final graded until the semester is over, which is 46% of your grade. This class isn't as great as the ratings show on this website. Consider taking geology or conservation to biodiversity instead.

Very difficult material. Tests are brutal, because they are only ten multiple choice questions. However, and it is a HUGE however, the tests are open note, open book, and "open everything except maybe Playboy". Dr. Wang is a great teacher. His accent is a bit tough at first, but when you get used to it, he's very knowledgeable of the material.

Open book tests, easy grading. Can use your LAPTOP on the tests. Crazy easy. Intimidating attendance policy (5% off your final grade per absence, and if you miss 5 days you fail) however people can sign you in. I missed over 5 days (not even being signed in) and still got an A, so he clearly doesn't take deduction seriously.

This class was SUPER easy. He's really friendly and humorous. This is a required course, so I'm sure the people from this class who rated him badly didn't even try; I dont know how anyone could call this class hard! I mean really, "all his grades are based on tests and a paper"?? How is that a bad thing? I found his grading quite lenient, actually.

I'm absolutely shocked by the past few comments! Professor Wang's one of my two favorite teachers here! His physics class is much harder (for obvious reasons), but he is super helpful and his door is always open. Definitely know your material prior to the tests; even though they're open book, they require actual knowledge of the material.

Nice and humorous guy, but terrible teacher. Grade based on tests and term paper. Did not allow students to see test questions to figure out where they went wrong. Assigned term paper but never told students grades. Good luck passing with a good grade if you take him.

Dr. Wang is very funny and adds humor to the class. It's half lecture and half comedy. Tests are open book but not easy. Your grade is based only on three tests and each test has only 10-16 questions. One mistake can cost you dearly. But he's very helpful and is willing to answer questions in class.

Class was boring overall, but easy A. All tests, including final, are open book/notes. Some quiz questions come from nowhere though. Term paper due at end of semester can bring up grade. Grades VERY FAIR on those. My advice: Take him if you want an A, but prepared to be bored a lot.

Dr. Wang was interesting. It helps if you go to class and take notes because many of the questions of his open book and open note tests. The notes are much more helpful than the text. He's funny to listen to. If you want an easy A take him.
