He gets upset when no one participates. BUT when you try to say something he either ignores you, or makes you feel stupid. He is rude to students, and lectures are LONG and BORING. All he does is talk talk talk. Avoid Houde!

Avoid him at all costs! He is very rude. He picks on his students. He is incredibly disrespectful to those he does not agree with. He talks way too quickly, and flies through important course material. He makes it seem as if he enjoys making his students feel bad. Save yourself the headache, and from his insults. Houde is the worst teacher I have ever had.He talked way to fast and notes were difficult to take. He is very argumentative which makes people uncomfortable when they try to participate. I got a B in the class , but I learned nothing. He is brilliant, but he is a horrible teacher and should work on writing some new scholarly journals.
