This was my second class with this professor. She is very nice, and wants to see you succeed. There is pracit with this class where you co-teach whole class a unit on social studies. You'll write 6 lesson plans and teach once a week for an hour. Teaching starts a little before mid-semester. Class is not hard as long as you put in the work.

Great professor! Learned so much in her class. She gives great feedback on lesson plans and hands back everything right away. Participate and ask questions or ask for help as she is willing to help you succeed and pass!

ELED 302 is the new eled 300 class for students with a concentration in sped mild/mod. Capalbo only taught about the new CADRE program and not anything else. We had to write lesson plans and all she gave us to learn was a hand out. Late handing back grades and unorganized. Do not take her if you have a choice. And she will be your adviser too.

Prof. Capalbo knows what she's talking about content wise, but isn't the best professor. She's really unorganized and doesn't hand back anything on time. Everything important is packed into the end of the semestr which was annoying.

Dr. Capalbo is great! She has taught me so much. The skills and techniques I learned in 300 have helped me in my praticums immensely! Dr. Capalbo is also kinds and compassionate. She wants her students to succeed. Sure, there are 'easier' professors but, with Dr. Capalbo, you are guranteed a good, quality education!

She is the best professor in the education department. She allows rewrites on almost everything and helps you to get a good grade. At times in the semester there is a lot of work but she allows enough time to complete it all. She is very helpful and provides a lot of positive feedback. I will definitely take her again.

I had her for both ELED 300 and ELED 436. I thought she was great in 300, but not so great for 436. She can be scatterted, late in handing things back, and class time becomes useless after first month. (in 436) 436 ended up being one of my toughest practicums.

Awful class. Very unorganized! I hated every minute of her class. Had no idea what my grade was until it was posted at the end of the semester. Work never handed back in time. Would provide feedback on lesson plans the night before you were scheduled to teach it and she would tell you to change the entire lesson.

Nice woman but very unorganized!!! Didnt really learn anything in the class its kinda teach yourself or you wont do good. She crams way too much work into the class and its all kinda meaningless except the portfolio. Hopefully you get good partners or else its tough to do an entire unit with them.

nice lady. i never had a problem with her personally. She is disorganized though. Not as bad as Dr. Henshaw though. make sure you keep copies of everything!! Keep up with the assignments because you will fall behind if you dont. Plus she might loose them.

Yes, there's a lot of work, most definitely. But she's leniant with due dates. She seems disorganized at times. She's really nice, as long as she's in a good mood. There's a lot of papers, reflections, lesson plans, a research paper... but thats in every el ed class. She lets you do revisions of most of them.

She is a nice person (If you stay on her good side). However, She crams way too much meaningless work into a short semester, which adds a lot of preasure to the practicum experience. I do not recommend her but if you have no choice I suggest you stay on top of the work and get started right away.
