Professor Cole actually cares about each and every student she has. She wants everyone to pass and will help you with anything you have concerns with. In he class speeches are mandatory, but she understand that people don't like to speak in public and she takes that into consideration. If you listen she gives great advice. 10/10 would recommend!

was really nice at first and then was just ok. The detailed feedback was great and the returning of your work quickly. Doesn't use blackboard which was a big pain but if you keep everything you will be able to track your grade. The final exam is a killer so make sure you have a solid grade before exam time.

I really liked having her as a teacher. she was very fair and reasonable on grading and she always explained our assignments very well. She makes speech class feel and seem so much easier and laid back. I would totally suggest taking her.

She is EXCELLENT! She genuinely cares about all of her students, and her class was fun! In her class, you learn actual life skills - how to communicate in group situations and how to work with diverse people. If you need a Communications professor, then take Professor Cole!

I had Professor Cole for group communication, so we had a few group projects. We probably only took two tests and they were group "quizzes".. super easy if you study a little bit before hand. You do not have to get the book. You should goto class though. She never keeps you there the whole time. I love her! She was so great. I would take her again.

Professor Cole is great. As long as you follow the outline she gives you for the speeches, and make the time limit you will be fine. The midterm and final are very hard since they are department tests, but she curves them. The speeches make a high percentage of your grade, so if you do well on them you will do well in the class.

By far thee sweetest professor I've ever met. Public speaking makes me so nervous, but she made me feel so much more comfortable. She wants you to succeed, and she will go out of her way to help you. I LOVE her. Should be able to get an easy B - and an A if you try. The workbook is a must have, but not the actual textbook.

Linda is the best communications professor I have ever had. She genuinely want you to succeed and she tries her very best to make you interested in the topics she teaches. Wish she taught all of my communications classes.

EASY! Give 4 (6-8)min presentations, a midterm and final that is curved and only teacher in the department to give bonus. Even if you suck at public speaking you will be fine! You really have to try not to get an A !!

Good at her job! She lectures like you're having a conversation with her, stays laid back and uses lots of relevant examples. Speeches are easy, she's encouraging, understands you may not have spoken publicly before, and gives you plenty of time to prepare. Since you've got to take speech, I recommend her.

You have to take it so might as well take her. The class is easy and the speeches aren't hard. Everyone has to take a mandatory midterm and final that is written by the department and it is pretty tough. So around midterm and finals you actually have to study pretty hard but you will have to do this in every CMM class. Nice lady, easy clas

This was one of the easiest classes I've taken at Marshall, Group compatability isn't guranteed but an A or B is. I showed up everyday, failed the 2 quizzes, but there is so much Extra credit that I got an A.

Mrs. Cole was alright, sometimes she tried a little too hard to help us learn the proper way to prepare presentations but simply used guidelines in a workbook for everything. I also called her at home a few times just to clarify what she previously stated that did not exist in the workbook.
