For health psych, 1. We wrote down and analyzed what exactly did we eat and how many miles we walked everyday. 2. Most time in class was discussion based on the textbook. 3. A few little projects. 4. A lot of the time there was no lectures. Group projects took up most of the classes. Overall, very good and easy, you get to make your own decisions.

Comment:

Really nice, I've rarely had teachers as passionate as she is. She LOVES psychology. Her lectures are relatively useless; they are all based on PPTs that she posts online. During lectures she is goofy, which is fun (sometimes) but she will tell stories that have nothing to do with the content. I ONLY passed the class by reading the textbook.

I have never in my life seen a teacher more passionate about what she teaches. She will go into long talks about a topic, and really gets in everyone's face at the same time, which is not really a bad thing. As for the lab, the projects have little to no direction, she gives you a general idea, and good luck.

I have Linda for my advisor. She is a great person but when it comes to advising students she is horrible. Absolutely no help when it comes to making a school schedule and her basic attitude about it is "Good luck getting in to those classes".

Jones is incredibly unorganized and scatterbrained. She doesn't make her own tests--says she only cares that we know general concepts, yet the tests are specific. Horrible with email. Does not do test/final review and does not make study guides. Class feels unrelated to the material that we eventually are tested on. Try to avoid if possible.

Very unorganized class. Lots of extra projects. Assignments didn't correlated with what we were talking about in class. Gets distracted in class. Tests are all from the textbook. Class discussion is rather shallow and useless. Would have not attended class and read the textbook, but attendance is based on your grade. Avoid if possible, be prepared.

I had Dr. Jones for my Lab Psych class. She is by far my favorite teacher this semester. She is always wanting to know whats trending in your life and how you are feeling. She always double checks to make sure you understand before moving on and is constantly going off topic on some hilarious tangent. I definitely would recommend her as a professor

Very cool, funny teacher. Her organization is a bit off, but she really wants to do things on time. Really likes her students and always engages in interesting lectures. Make sure you study for her tests, take notes during class. We had a lot of guest speakers, so it was cool. Enthusiastic about teaching.

Dr. Jones is a hoot, very passionate about what she does; can be moody, but isn't judgmental. Loves Krispy-Kreme doughnuts more than anything. Took for Intro Psych w/ lab, I recommend her course, but it isn't that easy- study and you'll be fine. Power-points are on blackboard, not a stickler on attendance, but she'll test over class discussion.

I loved Dr. Jones! I had her for intro to Psych, and she was very helpful. She is also VERY helpful outside of class. Her tests consist of a lot of information, but if you go to her she will basically tell you what's on it. She is a little scatterbrained in class, but very funny and enthusiastic. I ended her class with an A-!

She was the worst teacher I have ever had. You go into the class thinking, I love this woman! And you do, she's hilarious and personable. She's just a horrible teacher. I wouldn't take this class unless you've already studied psychology or are willing to learn a lot with no help from the teacher.
