TAs handled most of the grading. The few times I messaged Dr. Perry, she was helpful & polite. Her lectures are short & to the point, and her notes are a good reference. Before taking this course, decide on a hot-button issue youre passionate & knowledgeable about. It will be the focus of your papers. P.S. Save the 40 bucks and skip the textbook.

Dr. Perry is a good teacher. The class is very easy, in my opinion. For most assignments, as long as you follow the guidelines and write well, you will get an easy A. The assignments are pretty open ended. The only complaint I have is that I didn't feel challenged or stimulated. Its a very practical class though and I did learn a little.

Completely dismissed my personal statment that I used for grad school. She wrote like: how it doesn'tdescribe obstacles at all or how my essay didn't describe diversity. I put my heart into that essay and she didnt give me helpful comments at all. I got invited to interview at every school I applied to with that personal statement, no thanks to her

Amazing professor. Just go to class! I have a 120% in her class from all of the extra credit she gives! Go to her office hours and she will basically grade your paper and tell you how to get a 100%. Overall a good person and a very caring professor. She will help you any way she can. Make sure to take this class and sit up front!

Very rude professor when it comes to her lectures and theories. Class is pretty easy just make sure you show up to lectures and do the extra credit provided. Overall, the class wasn't bad, but the professor was just rude when questioning some students and her organization of the class and material is worded terribly. Below avg. teacher all in all.

She is a wonderful professor, and has a great sense of homework. You need to go to class because there are a lot of in class assignments and extra credit opportunities! A LOT of extra credit. This class also is 6,000 words. It definitely helps you professionally edit your resume and work on your writing skills. A fun class! You should take it!

This class is definitely not my favorite and neither is Dr. Perry. She tries to be a cool professor but she frequently interjected her political opinions in a theories class which was completely unnecessary in my opinion. If you did not agree with her, she harped on how dumb you are. We frequently got off topic because of her rude commentary.

Perry is awesome. She can be confusing, but she is always willing to help you or explain herself. She will help you with your assignments if she sees effort from you. She genuinely cares about her students and is very understanding. She is one of my favorite PR professors!

The class isn't easy, but if you put the work in you'll be fine. The assignments are designed to make you learn something. The grading can be nitpicky, but the TAs do most of the grading. Dr. Perry really knows her stuff, but sometimes you might need clarification. I emailed her many times throughout the semester and she was always helpful

This class is more annoying than it is hard. Look at the grading rubric before you submit you assignments because you will get points off for nitpicky things. Go to class because she gives test questions and lots of extra credit, especially towards the end of the semester. Overall a pretty good prof.
