I will try to be as clear as possible. Do not, I repeat PLEASE do not take this professor. The class itself would have been much more useful and worthwhile if she had NOT been the instructor. She is extremely unorganized, unclear in her essay expectations, and just overall a terrible, terrible experience. Spare yourself. Please.

Grades are unclear the end of the semester. Work hard, you get an A, but probably work that is better used elsewhere if you are not an English or Film Major. Her class is not the end of the world, though, and she does have some pretty funny statements. Make ALL of her edits and good review is a must. I don't recommend her class, but not the worst

This was the worst class I have taken at pitt. She is clueless and hard to follow. It is difficult to determine what she is looking for and she is a harsh grader. DO NOT TAKE A CLASS WITH PROFESSOR REINGARDT. I dreaded her class every time.

Professor Reingardt is probably one of the worst professors I've ever had. She is disorganized, clueless and knows next to nothing about film. She assigns a ton of papers with repetitive topics and grades harshly. I can't believe that I paid for this class. I can not emphasise this enough, DO NOT TAKE ANY CLASS TAUGHT BY PROFESSOR REINGARDT.

HORRIBLE TEACHER. Worse than any high school or middle school teacher I ever had. Impossible to understand, and no matter what you write it is wrong. I got an ok grade in her class, but I definately came out of her writing seminar class a much worse writer than I entered it. Do not take any of her classes ever. ever. Terrible teacher.

Terrible teacher. Unclear & gives very confusing and vague assignments. She's nit picky and even if you write what she wants she says it's wrong. Waste weeks focusing on ONE piece of writing, & write about 5 different papers on it. Forgets a lot too, she thought I was absent from class 5 times when I only missed class once. Not reliable or helpful.

She is nice and patient. But I think she is lazy teacher to check through all grammer and vocabulary for ESL STUDENTS.She made us go to the writing center so she has less work. I had a good impression of her but not anymore.

An extreme nit-picker. She expected clear, concise writing from vague, general assignments. Also, she doesn't seem to realize that she is teaching an introductory level composition class, one that is required of ALL students in the Colleg of Arts and Sciences.
