I took her Hybrid HEAL 101 class and I liked it a lot. I only went to class one day of the week for an hour and a half and then all of the assignments were due online. She is funny and very likable. Sometimes her lectures can start to get boring, but she trys to keep everyone involved. Attend class, some days it's worth points!

She is very negative and uses bad language in class. She often talks about violence and sex inappropriately. She gives her students weekly major assignement and quizzes! Not to mention service learning. Health 101 with another teacher might actually be a very interesting class.

Do NOT take her nutrition class online. It was absolutely awful! I looked forward to taking the class because I thought I would learn useful information but I found myself doing nothing but boring busy work and LOTS of it. There were two or three weekly assignments, a mandatory discussion board, multiple weekly quizzes, and four major projects.

Professor Shaffer was great! I enjoy attending her class. I learned many new things. An easy "A" if you do all the work and attend class, bat be prepare to work, even though she is not a tough grader but she does acknowledge who does the work and who doesn't. I recommend her!!!

She's a really nice lady and really cool. she is really into helping you and wants you to succeed. she is really funny and keeps well prepared for all her tests. some of the projects are kind of lame, but other than that a really great teacher and person!

Uh.. She seems to love sex.. sex sex sex and.. sex.. pretty much all she talkes about for the first half of the semester. She finds a way sex into every lecture. Which is fine i guess, just be prepared. Really nice lady overall though.

Online Class: Easy. I got a B. I just kept up with the work and took the quizzes. I hardly read the book. She is an easy grader for the papers. JUST DO THE WORK. She's also pretty leanient and will work with you if something happens. Cool teacher.

Took the online class. I enjoyed it very much, read you material and you should do fine. Though some of the test answers were wrong, i read the answer stright out of the book and it was incorrect. Nonetheless, if you do the reading, and do your assignments, its an easy A.

Worst teacher ever. The test online was not material that any other professor would require you to remember. Very random questions-you would have to search the text for the exact answer. Even if you point out that her answer was wrong with the text to back it up-she wouldn't do anything .I got an A, but I do not reecommend this teacher.

This lady is a fair, well-balanced, teaching machine. Makes learning what it should be: Hard work, fun, and informative to the max!!! Doesn't seem to show any favoritism like other professors. She requires Service Learning in the community.
