I have taken two courses with Dr. Vila and she is an excellent professor. She is knowledgeable professional and caring. She is extremely experienced in the health care field and this enhances all classroom discussions. She assigns a lot of reading and expects students to participate in class. Final is challenging. Definitely take her course.

Professor Vila is the best professor I've ever had in college. Her lectures are AMAZING, she's very well spoken. All she wants you to do is read the chapter she assigns and talk about what you've learned in that chapter. No homework. Exams are easy. Once again, AMAZINGGGGG PROFESSOR!!

very partial on grading. Get an A by just speaking in class and asking many questions. A student got A just because the professor had a soft corner for her as she travelled a long distance to attend her class.

She is a wonderful professor to say the least. If i could take every class with her i would, her lectures are great and she uses real life experiences in them so its extremely easy to grasp the meaning of her lectures. The final is open book, its almost impossible to fail. There is no way to not learn in her class, she is a great teacher.

She grades you on class participation. Teaches very well but its unfair for those who can't speak up in class. you will gain knowledge in her class but grade will on the prior knowledge you have .

Vila is a great professor. She is thorough and knows her stuff. She works within the healthcare industry; she uses real scenarios that occur within a hospital setting, something that I find rare with the professors within the dept. Reading is a MUST! She WILL call on you from the roster and ask you to share what you learned from the reading!

She's very well spoken, can be strict and has a thing for class beginning on time. She hates when people walk in late, and makes a comment to make you feel embarrassed. Vila uses the textbook heavily so do your reading! She also expects you to comprehend what she assigns then ask you about it in class. Great teacher though!

Expects students to be prepared. Uses textbook heavily. A lot of participation expected. Fair grader. Knows subject. Phony personality. Can be nasty.

I loooove her! I'm learning so much in her class. She uses the textbook heavily and does expect you to read what she assigns. She will ask you about it in class. But she's not intimidating, and she encourages people to voice their opinions. Just do the reading, simple as that, and you're golden.

She got the whole class involved. Walked up and down the aisles, changed her pitch and kept everyone on their toes. Only time I ever read the textbook cover to cover was for her ethics class
