Honestly, she is the worst teacher I have ever had. Super hard, extremely misleading with her class. Only thing that saved me was open book tests, but those are not easy. Very hypocritical. Transfer out if possible.

At first when I started Dr. Volonino''s class I thought about transferring because she is such a tough teacher. However taking her class is totally worth it. How many times can you say that my teacher is an expert in her field or my professor has written multiple well-known books Not that often. She''s not a curse she''s a blessing in disguise

She came to Amman-Jordan and gave us a 5days crash course MIS will got to say she is nothing we'v ever seen before but I liked her attitude even though it was very harsh at some poin, but gives us thw information we need with out waisting time.

Dr. Volonino is hilarious. She is a tough cookie who hates the word "like" and slackers. But if you get on her good side, she's really helpful. She's helped me land internships and has been helping me network for jobs. This class involved 2 open book, multiple choice tests and a partner project; easy A class that's really interesting!

Least educated teacher I encountered in 21 years of schooling, by a wide margin. Also had terrible interpersonal skills and embarrassingly poor project requirements. Other professors in the computer field referred to her work, with examples, as a method of explaining the worst practices in our field that should be avoided at all costs.

Google Dr. Volonino and you will see she is an internationally recognized expert in the field of computer forensics and cyber security. She teaches people to catch terrorists and criminals. This isn't a class for wimps. She knows her stuff and expects her students to work hard and be their best. Highly recommend.

If you cannot handle Dr. Volonino then how do you expect to deal with an enraged costumer or a boss when something goes wrong? Really people, grow up, learn something and don't expect everything to be handed to you. She may be a little scattered and harsh but in the end she KNOWS what she is doing and really can help you if you're willing to learn.

The only correct opinion is hers. Don't even try to argue with her because she is always right. Classroom atmosphere is horrible because most students are afraid to say a word in fear of her ripping into them. Material isn't difficult, as you don't really cover anything. Grading very erratic. I wouldn't advise taking this professor. She knows the subject extremely well, since she has taught it to several different branches of the military. However, her teaching style is harsh to say the least. She makes you think like a manager, but makes it extremely difficult to form your own opinion. Take her if you like a challenge.

She made 3 kids cry the first day of class. Told them they were going no where with a management major. Then she told everyone not to expect to be any CEO of any famous company or go very far in life because we were at Canisius not an ivy league school. She hates teaching and life. A nightmare!!! She purposely embarrasses you while you present, makes exams impossibly difficult, and her lectures make no sense. She insults you as a class, makes it clear that no one can be as smart as her, yet she doesn't know what she's talking about. The only good thing about her is she gives everyone A's, even when they fail exams.

One of the most disrespectful and arrogant people i have ever met. She refused to help when I asked for it. She is not well liked by any students, other professors, or other faculty. Freshman business majors, avoid taking ISB 101 with her. Take it with someone else, even if it means waiting until second semester or 1st semester sophomore year.
