Comment:

This professor did not grade on time. I would submit work on time, and by the time I submitted the next assignment, the last week's would still not be graded. When they were finally graded, any corrections I needed to make or feedback that would help me, came too late. Very unclear and late feedback.

She is terrible! Prints a rubric but does not follow it herself! Stay away from this one!! I have almost considered changing careers because of this person! I would love to retake this class and actually LEARN something!

I never in my life had a professor that handed out so much work, yet wont tell you whats expected. I am still taking the class, and as I speak Im writing her on why she deducted points. She never answers, and her directions will clearly say write 2 paragraphs. When you write the paragraphs, she will say that more information was needed. Smh

I never complain about professors, but STAY AWAY from this teacher. She is a horrible teacher. She gives you way too much work and grades you poorly. She will take points even if you missed a little dot. Does not tell you what you did wrong, only that "needed more work". I am willing to work hard but her expectations are ridiculous. #STAYAWAY

She is a great person, but a horrible teacher. She expects so much work and effort into assignments that are only work like 5 points. Had to have 3 journal entries a week each like a page long and graded harsh af. Did not teach pretty much anything that was actually on the tests. She's a better counselor than teacher.

This class is called Positive Psychology and I felt anything but positive. There are so many little assignment to complete each week, worth very little points. Sometimes, the rubrics for assignments aren't even provided, and she will take random points off with no real explanations or feedback as to how to improve.

Way too much to do in the introductory class on an undergrad level. Group project takes up most of the week. This class had at least 50% of the students drop it. Most of us will never take another class with her. You learn a term Monday and by Tuesday if you do not apply it to the same level as would a licensed therapist you fail the week.

She talks about how group work is necessary but takes no responsibility for adjusting your grade due to unreliable and flaky group members. Don't bother trying to complain to her about someone not doing their part; she doesn't care. Your options are to either fail or do all the work yourself. Don't get cocky, though. You won't get an A. No one does

The WORST teacher I have EVER had. She assigned a group project (which is stupid in an online class anyway) and then left vague instructions like, "Make sure to post your answers here, so that other students may respond." Somehow, you're supposed to know that means responses are mandatory, despite not saying so. Completely screwy grading scale.

Ms. Waxce is a counselor at Park and so the class assignments are very therapeutic. Come to class, do ALL of the short assignments (journal entries) and extra credit and you will have no problem getting an "A"! You will be required to do ten hours of service work over the semester and four journal entries per week. This was a very enriching class!

This class was horrible! This teacher is out of her mind and should not be a psychology teacher. She has a small window on what she is will expect and is so confusing I was lost from the very start. She will not work with you on anything. Please rethink taking a class from her, I hope I can save you the stress and tears that this class caused me!!!

You will be frustrated, due to lack of support. You will be better off just taking a correspondent course on Abnormal Psychology, I don't recommend taking the course with Ms. Waxse. You read the assignment, write a small essay,there is not feedback, just a grade, with remarks what you missed and it is not open to discussion.

I had professor Waxse for Positive Psychology and I enjoyed the class. Professor Waxse expects the best from her classes and is a little hard on grading. Once you understand what she wants it is not hard. It took me a few e-mails to get things figured out but in the end she has been one of my best teachers.

ABNORMAL PSYCHOLOGY: I'm a senior. She's the hardest instructor I have ever had. I would spend hours on each assignment and commonly receive a 60% with little feedback. I worked very hard on the final and research paper and somehow squeaked out an overall B, and I am an A student. Thank goodness. Most of my classmates didn't do so well, though.
