He is a good professor. He is a bit old school. But he gives a lot of opportunities to earn grades. He is has so much experience and best at what he teaches. If you attend all his classes then he is an easy A.

Had him for 301 Lecture Hall and 447 Senior Seminar. His accent aside, for Intro to Crim he actually prepares lectures that truly highlight the reading. He works hard and expects his students to as well. A published theorist, he delivers intellectually challenging and rewarding lectures for upper level.

He is as worst as it gets, doesn't care about the students, and has the worst English grammar you've ever heard. Don't take he tells you to study with the online guide then switches everything up before the test.

The most boring teacher i have ever had and was hard to understand. You had to go to class or the best you could do is a 90%. His lectures are all over the place. But the test are not to bad because he takes alot of the ?'s off the book's online helper.

Yes, his accent can be difficult to understand; however, you get used to it after the first few classes. The material is pretty much based off the textbook, so the class is not too difficult. He's very willing to help out, he just doesn't always succeed. Nice guy.

Takes easy material, and makes it difficult to understand. Tests were difficult. Gives an exta credit assignment to those who come to class all the time. Easy points for class participation if you show up. Overall, class was a little difficult.

Ugh. Terrible course. The amazingly terrible accent didn't bother me as much as the monotonous repeating of everything at least 5 times. Worst class I ever took.

Takes relatively easy, common sense material and makes it impossible.Chinese accent makes him tough to understand. Many test questions are bogus and difficult to understand-he writes his question the same way that he speaks, makes it hard to understand what he is asking. Take it with someone else!

Dr. Cao is a great professor! He can be difficult to understand at the beginning, but once you get a feel for his accent, it's smooth sailing. The tests are MC and easy. No papers, unless you need EC. But, read the text to keep up on the terms.

Yes he has an accent, most people from China do. But don't hate it, play it. Make up a bingo card and try and spot the following words: Frued, Sissy, Smore, Burgers, Pope, Attached. He is as tough or easy as any other instructor, go to class, do the work.

Bad Accent, Its extremely hard to understand. But if you enjoy thinking hard to listen and reading every chapter while still sitting in the class everday, then you can take it. Also, there is a added bonus for coming to class you get 10% and EC!

he speaks in a heavy accent that you get used to after a few classes. read the book and do the chapter reviews, because most of his exam questions come from these exercises. two exams, 50 multiple choice questions, hard to attend class its kinda boring
