Comment:
Pretty difficult intro class but if you read and use the exams as a review for the final then you will get a good grade. This class is equal parts memorizing terms and being able to write a detailed essay about that reading and lecture.

She is terrible at teaching. Her tests are ridiculous and her study guides are worthless. I took this class as a pass/fail and I wouldn't be mad if I failed because I'd rather take it online.

After getting through the first semester of CORE easily with another professor, this was a rude awakening. Professor Driver requires daily readings and page(s) of notes, as well as many writing assignments. Yet rarely returns graded work, grades extremely hard and never posted grades. I had to go to my advisor to find out my course grade. AVOID.

When you ask questions she doesn't answer them. She gives 5-12 page pdfs that you have to read on top of the text book that you have to print. She changes the way she sets up a test for each one, so there is no consistency. When grading the essays she will give you a low grade without telling you what was wrong. Bad Professor all around.

I took Professor Driver's Theo325 class. It was ALOT of work. For the amount of work she gave, it needed to be a 5 credit course, not just 3 credits. Our class brought this to her attention many times, but the amount of work stayed the same. The class was interesting, but if you already have a packed schedule I would not recommend this class.

This class is hard work, we're in college..I think it's stupid to pay thousands of dollars for an education then yell at the prof. for actually trying to teach us our money's worth...do the reading and pay attention in lectures. She's really nice and loves what she does. She was great about meeting individually if need be. I learned a lot

Take her class pass/fail if you must take it. She is so boring and assigns contradictory papers. (as in you are not allowed to have an opinion in your paper at all!!). Good luck

I didn't really want to take the class, but for what it was this class wasn't very difficult. Read the books and take notes in class... the tests are easy if you do that. She explains things thoroughly and clarifies when needed. It's not always the most interesting if you're not into theology, but otherwise a good class.

She is a nice enough woman, but is very boring. I didn't want to go to class, and her writing assignments were contradictory. How can someone write a academic essay about an imaginary conversation with three dead philosophers without interpreting some type of opinion? It's pretty much impossible. I got an ok grade, but no fun,did it because I had to

Very difficult professor and person to deal with and writes VERY confusing notes. I respect her, but she does not rub it in your face that she is a scholar of theology and we're just college students. You're better off taking theology with somebody else...not her!!

This class was the biggest disappointment for me so far at Valpo. The homework assignments were bogus, and classes were dull. Driver was a horrible teacher and had extremely high expectations for a gen ed class. This was a waste of time/energy.

HORRIBLE. Take Theo 200 with ANYONE else but her. She makes assignments unnecessarily time consuming and hard. Also, incredibly boring. I've heard that other theo classes are interesting. I am disgusted that I paid money to sit through her class and listen to her ramble incoherently for 50 min 3 times a week. DO NO TAKE THEO WITH LISA DRIVER

Wow... I wish I had never taken Theo 200 now. Class consists of her talking the whole time and telling 'jokes' that are no where near funny. She is VERY strict on reading the books, which aren't interesting either. I feel I wasted my time in that class....

Horrible This class was boring, and irrelevant. At the beginning most of us wanted to discuss things now and then, but whenever someone spoke, they were not encouraged to do so again, to say the least. By the second or third week no one said a word, so she let us out early. And, that's how it is. I was interested in theology before taking thisclass

A waste of time. Prof. Driver did not facilitate convorsation and the topics were not in the least bit relevant to my life. I really wish I would've taken a different theo 200 class.

Not particularly helpful or interesting. I was very interested in the early church before I took her class... Very condescending towards nonmajors. She spent the entire time thinking it was Core and trying to teach us how to write a paper.

Class can be boring, but lately she's been trying to initiate more discussion (it is a 9 am class...not everyone's in the mood to discuss). She was very friendly and helpful when I met with her one on one to discuss my paper.
