Lisa was a great teacher. She always will answer any question you have. Class is tough but if you study and do all the assignments you will pass. Not a blow off at all! But a great professor would highly recommend

Lisa was nice. Sometimes lectures are boring and a drag. But take notes to pay attention. Gives a lot of extra credit. SI sessions are great, TAKE ADVANTAGE. Exams are so bad. Go to review and study a week ahead, you should be fine. Don't miss extra credit, every little bit will help. No plusminus system.

Lisa Madlinger was a wonderful professor. She teaches ACCY 206 in a large lecture hall, but she makes it seem like a small classroom. She always answers questions in class if you are brave enough to ask them. The grading criteria is also very clear. Accountancy is a very tough subject for some people, but Lisa tries to make it easy as possible.

Comment:
Apparently Ms. Madlinger decided to change her ways since last semester... she offered only 2 option for extra credit at 5pts each.. no points for attendance. Also homework is not completion points as mentioned. These two things alone will obviously not boost your grade as everybody says helps therefore the class is unfair basing it off RMP.

Lisa Madlinger is a great professor to have for your first accountancy course. She makes her requirements clear from the beginning. Even though she teaches in a big lecture hall, she provides individual attention that makes the class seem small. She is great at providing real world examples and makes the material interesting. Loved the class.

Good teacher, she gives out a lot of extra credit for attendance which is enough to help your grade in the end. Try to do the homework that is assigned before classes because she'll call on you on the one day you didn't do it. Know the SI Reviews.

Lisa was an awesome! Class can be challenging, but if you put in the work its an easy A. She gives extra credit once a week for attendance, completion points for homework, easy quizzes, along with projects. Tests aren't terribly difficult, just go to review sessions, and pay attention in class. Would highly recommend this professor!

She has the class set up very well. It was very organized. The homework and quizzes are not to difficult but the exams are. Study hard for those 4 exams, do your homework (you get all points just for trying), and take the quizzes (based off the homework), and you should be fine. Also hands out extra credit for attending the lectures.

Make sure to go to class, an easy 35 extra credit points right there. If you bring notes to class for that day along with doing the homework problems, you should be fine for the tests. Make sure to go to review session and to pay attention when she goes over directions for the projects.

Good mix of book, handouts & lecture. Engages students and generates good class participation. Spends most of her time amongst students teaching via conversation versus from seat behind desk. Class exercises bring the lectures and homework together and reflect real world use & challenges. Tests are challenging but aligned well with assignments.

Posts lecture slides online, gives 30 EC pts if you go to class when she sends around attendance. AFI/Excels aren't too hard, basic stuff from OMIS. Not too bad of a class considering it's accounting.

Very clear and concise presentations. Power points are on blackboard. Homework is optional. Quiz every week in recitation. Just take advantage of the TA because they do most of the grading. Overall not a bad experience. Even easier if you actually go to class.

She is a great and helpful teacher. She helped me out whenever I needed her help and was not stuck up like my other professors. She was patient as she tried to explain the material to a rather dumb class. Highly recommended

She was really laid back. You have to go to all the recitation classes cuz there are quizzes almost every friday. The TA's were helpful. She gives a lot of extra credit like over 20 pts worth. TIP: Work really hard throughout the semester because the final was hard but because the class was easy overall I had 100% in the class before the final.

This class was very challenging for me. The Professor is extremely helpful and encourages students to come to her office for extra help. The TA's and GA's are helpful and available to help as well. Professor teaches at a level that is easy to understand. The key to passing this class is to attend the exam review sessions.

She was a good teacher, there are tutor sessions for the class and exam review sessions, both of these are very helpful. Do the homework, make sure you understand it and you will do fine on the tests. I did the homework and read before the first tests and had a 97% in the class. after that i got cocky and didnt do the HW n my grade slipped to a B

Really helpful. She'll re-grade the excel for you if you think you deserved a better grade. Study the power points for the exams and go to the review for the final! she writes it based off the test and it helped me a lot!
