Great Class. Well organized and paced. Professor Stolley is mentoring me because I am hoping to get into a Ph.D program. Warning: If you are lazy and do not like to do your homework, or if you are not intellectual, you will not like her.

Do the work, go to class, you would not get anything less than a C! However, if you are there to learn, avoid her. You will hear more about her complaints about getting caught in traffic and other bad students she had! Also, she would make up excuses to leave class early, thus, being inaccessible duirng her office hours!

This was one of my favorite classes I have taken thus far at Roosevelt. I would totally take Prof. Stolley again. I thought she was very helpful and very gentle when grading my papers. I loved that she is a writer. I think being taught by an artist is a plus in any English lit course.

Comes in 15-20 minutes late to class EVERY class, then ****es & moans about things for another 5 minutes. Is this the "education" we're paying our hard-earned money for? If she worked at a real job in the real world she'd be fired within the week.

Many students, including myself, love this Professor. I think all of the negative comments on this page are from one person who had a bad experience with her. If you are an English major you will like her. I took a class with her and everyone in the class thought she was wonderful. She is always willing to help and is not at all closed minded.

Was constantly late to class. When we tried to find out about the late policy she got upset and punished the class. If you tried to make an point she would only go by what she felt was correct. She used students as her guide instead of knowing or researching the subject at hand. Extremely feminist as if we were taking literature of women.

Unless you are a professional writer or have experience with the hip-hop culture and live in the suburbs, do not take this instructor. She only likes those who are into the modern, hip-hop culture. If you are not, she will disregard your opinions and treat you as if you are deviant in her class.

I took her for Engl 160 at UIC, and she was such a terrible instructor. She graded me and treated me as if I was a moron. She would also take her anger out on the studnets just because she arrived late to our class. Plus, she did not really tecah us how to write good papers, and we were just freshmen!

Radical feminist. Be prepared to be indoctinated. If you are not a minority or a female prepare to feel bad about yourself. This woman has a serious agenda. Overall easy classes though. Don't count on learning TOO much.
