Lisa Waite is probably one of the best professors I've ever had. I had her for Business and Professional Communications and the class was actually enjoyable. She knows EVERYTHING you would ever needs to know, is hilarious, understanding and very intelligent. Highly recommend taking a class or two with her, especially if you are a com major.

Lisa is an amazing professor. I have had her for quite a few classes over the years. She is helpful in and out of the classroom. Amazing office hours and great if you want to find an internship. She is truly there for her students. She is a tough grader, but that makes you better. She is easy to talk you and can be helpful with finding topics.

She is very helpful. She relates personal stories with the textbook. Which I find helpful and more understanding. Her test are open book and open note, which is not hard to pass. By far one of my favorite classes that I have taken.

One of the best communication faculty members at KSU. Really good professor & a genuine & kind individual. Highly respected by students & very active on campus & in the community. Really cares about student success & wants everyone to succeed in college & in the workforce. Very practical lectures and real life examples and concepts in class.

I've only had this professor for a few weeks due to my actual professor having to take a break due to an illness. She has been filling in for him wonderfully! She's super funny and makes sure everyone participates (which keeps me awake tbh). She gives great feedback on your work, too. Overall I would totally take a class with her again if possible.

Lisa Waite is an absolute asset to Kent State University! She has taught me more in one semester than others have in three years! Really inspirational and is excited about what she's talking about. She knows her stuff and wants to share it with you - and will take all the time you need to understand the material, and is always available for 1 on 1 meetings. Class is more real-world than theory-based, and is really beneficial.

I advise everyone to take classes with her, shes very helpful and classes are a piece of cake. She has alot of cool and funny stories although through out the semester we only had one exam online, it was pretty easy. 2 big speeches we had to do and they were easy 5-9 min speeches. Ps for a older women shes pretty hot lol

Absolutely the worst instructor I've ever had. Speech grades are based entirely on how much she likes you. Despite having better presentations throughout the course, I couldn't manage more than an 89 on absolutely every project. Misquotes information left and right in favor of anything politically conservative. Still, friendly and helpful at times.

If you just studied definitions for the tests at the beginning of the course you get good grades. Make a point touse manners, she looks kindly upon it. Immaturity is not tolerated. Follow her pointers for speeches.

Speeches are extremely subjective. Tests are nothing but a bunch of definitions you have to stuff in your head and spit out. Not too bad of a class but whoever said she grades speeches rather difficult was correct.
