Do not waste your time! class started with 26 students and ended with around 6, and the whole class dropped a letter grade because of the final exam. Expects you to come to class already knowing all the material and brushes through it in class and doesn't actually teach it. gives quizzes on the subject before he teaches it to you. Trash

In order to get a good grade in the class you have to know the book inside and out. After lectures I left feeling slightly confused. Reading the book and taking notes on my own I honestly learned more that way. He is very lecture heavy and writes everything down on the white board. He's very knowledgeable but the way he teaches isn't for everybody.

He is very challenging, you have to try so you can pass, he can be rough when it comes to homework & quizzes, but all he wants you to do is to use your brain. If you have not looked at your notes or the book then try to ask him a question he will tell you to re-look at everything. The bad reviews arent how everyone feels about his class. Just try.

The final grade of the class is based on 3 homework, 3 tests, and 5 quizzes. He tells you the date of a reading quiz and the chapters are long, but the quizzes are pretty easy. He drops a quiz grade as well. He assigns a few homework problems from the textbook to do, but goes over the answers before the test. The tests are similar to the lecture.

Professor Kumassah is a pretty good professor, although he is very strict. He has quite a strong accent, but I adjusted to it within the first couple of classes. The class itself was difficult, but Professor Kumassah sincerely wanted everyone to succeed. There is a lot of reading, and the quizzes are reading comprehension quizzes, so read the book.

An amazing person. He truly cares about his students and wants to see them succeed. He will take the time to talk to you about any topic that you're interested in, and will go the extra mile to ensure your success. He's the best economics professor at ACC.

He is a wonderful teacher, not from here so he has an accent but I only found it hard to understand a few words. Don't use your phone or talk while he is talking, he doesn't like disrespect but he isn't asking too much. Put in the work and you'll get a good grade. Ask questions if you don't understand and he'll help you out.

He's a very generous and wonderful person! He let me borrow his own personal textbook from when he was in college to help me with some of my questions. He's truly a caring person. If you put forth the effort, he will put forth even more effort to ensure your success. Sit toward the front of the class if you have trouble understanding him. :)

Really sweet and understanding professor, the only thing is he has an accent so for those who have trouble with hearing or understanding I would just be prepared for that. Other than that just the usual, read the book, and study and you'll be fine.

Professor Kumassah expects his students to pass a quiz before going over the content of the quiz before hand. Students learn a chapter from the textbook and then take a quiz over said chapter before the chapter is covered in class. If any of the material is not understood on a chapter, one will not pass the quiz. He mumbles and scribbled everything

Mr. Livingstone is a wonderful teacher! He's extremely lecture heavy (lecture every day, usually takes up majority of class), and is willing to stop and answer questions if there are confusion. He curves homework and tests on a 110 scale, and if you want to do well, you must be willing to read intensively. There are 6 quizzes, 3 hws, and 3 tests.

Good professor that wants his students to succeed. He is lecture heavy but he breaks everything down so everyone will understand what he is teaching. Strives to make sure that everyone in class understands the meaning behind things. 3 tests, 3 homework assignments, and 6 quizzes. As long as you try you will pass. Grades pretty easily.

Cadence/accent + his pretty eyes can be distracting - but good class if you can focus past that. Sometimes gets quiet, but usually easy to hear. Clear lectures, clear expectations. He gives you the handouts for the homework, so 'newest' text book isn't 100% needed. Will spend class time answering even basic questions, doesn't make you feel foolish.

Comment:
Professor is knowledgeable on the subject of economics but has a hard time translating it in a manner that is easily understood by his students. I took him for macroeconomics and had already taken micro through the honor's program so I had a good foundation of the terminology and subject. Would not recommend if your new to economics. Easy exams tho
