Dr. Gron is a very exceptional teacher at Hendrix. She teaches the subject very well, and does many practice problems in class. She makes relatable examples of chemistry concepts for you to understand them. Best lecturer I've had at Hendrix.

I had heard so many good things about her as a person and a teacher that I couldn't NOT take a class from her. She was supportive, dynamic, funny, challenging, and taught to every learning style in the room. Some professors are just brilliant--she's also an amazing educator. Don't miss a chance to have her as an adviser or be on her research team.

Dr. Gron is a fantastic person and profess. She certainly cracks the whip, but it's for your own good, both in and out of the classroom. A top dog in her field, and well respected. Don't expect an easy A in her class. It's possible to receive an A, but YOU need to put in the effort and meet her halfway. Oh, and she tells chemistry jokes, too

I absolutely loved Dr. Gron. I was interested in chemistry, but she really solidified my interest. Despite taking AP Chemistry in high school and knowing most of the material, she kept the class very interesting. And I had to work for an A. If I could take her for every chem class I would. Helpful when needed, wants you to understand chem.

Dr. Gron is the whole reason I ever became interested in chemistry. She was extremely Helpful and encouraging and showed great interest in my success. She is an amazing professor! However, DON'T SLACK OFF EVER because she is difficult, but it is because she wants you to leave her class knowing the subject!

Dr. Gron tries to hold herself to a "higher standard" but she's constantly playing favorites (do NOT get on her bad side). She is perky but often fake and unrelatable. Studying isn't something to complain about but her being an ineffective teacher is. Her ego is the size of Jupiter--classic sign of a poor communicator. 5/10, Hendrix can do better.

I don't know how to feel about Gron. I want to say shes a great teacher, but I feel like I can't. I went into her class thinking I was going to have the best teacher ever, but she didn't seem to really explain things or give examples before making students work the problems. I considered it a self study class.

Dr. Gron is a fantastic teacher! She does the intimidation act at the beginning of the semester, but she's actually really nice and genuinely wants to be helpful. Lectures were very clear, but come to class prepared because she calls on several people during every class. Tests are only hard if you don't study.

Dr. Gron is the teacher you want to take for any chemistry class. The best. She is probably the funniest in class teacher around. That being said, she will try to "trick" you with little details at times and then be really easy and general at others. In general her questions are not overly difficult but difficulty can vary greatly between tests.

Excellent class lectures: concise, clear, and lively. Some problems are done in class, from beginning to end, using input from students. She is accommodating when approached outside of class and will bend over backwards to keep things fair. Her tests cover the material and do no emphasize anything she didn't in class.

I have no idea what previous posters meant about her being terrifying. Dr. Gron is one of the most encouraging professors I've had! She doesn't randomly call on people; she lets you know she's coming, so you can prepare your answer. She has a strong personality, but she is in no way terrifying!

Dr. Gron can be terrifying! So be prepared. She is a wonderful prof though and really does care about you. She will help you if you help yourself. Always be on time for every class. She hates it when you are late. She will teach you a lot, but is very hard. I highly recommend her because she makes every thing very clear.

I loved her and wished I had her for Chem II. Her tests are somewhat different from other teachers but once you get use to the format it really isnt too bad. She is very active in the classroom and will call on you occasionally; you get use to it.

Overall Dr. Gron is a quality professor. She made class enjoyable and I learned quite a bit from her. Her tests are pretty straight forward if you study. The people who tend to have trouble with the class are just simply lazy.

Dr. Gron was scary as all get out the first week or so of school. However, after you get used to her, she is awesome. She can move a little fast, but she is very thorough with the class and you will end up learning a lot. Just make sure you do all the HW problems, and go see her if you are having trouble.

Dr. Gron scared me to death the first day. She was mean and in your face. But, quickly she grew on me, and now I love her. She knows her stuff really well but sometimes goes too fast to get it across well. Just ask her to explain it again. She will. My advice, definitely take her class, but don't let her scare you. She's actually really cool.
