Comment:
I love Liz's personality but she was not a very good professor. I feel like I learned nothing in this class. There was so much dense, heavy, BORING reading and the lectures were the same. We made food in our class which was cool but completely unorganized.

Liz is an interesting one to say the least.. but she's very knowledgeable and passionate about the material. Makes you attend a few lectures outside of class and theres a few papers, but if you try & put work in you'll get an A

Very nice professor but material is boring. Discussion-based class, so don't take it if you don't want to talk. Articles to read every night. Tests are easy. A couple papers (not bad). You will end up with a good grade.

Very enthusiastic about the material and very knowledgeable. She's a big proponent of continuing to learn new things and is pretty flexible with what gets discussed. Very willing to help students pursue research, so if you need a prof to help get you into research, I'd highly recommend Liz. Get to know her in office hours. Great prof!!

I loved this class and the subject. Liz is an okay teacher, but couldn't answer some questions that I had about Buddhism. I was able to get the answers that I needed from other professors in the department. Her focus seems to be on homosexuality rather than religion. Your grade is made up of 2 tests, a project and attendance.

I love love loooved this class. I had never taken a relgion class before and was able to take rel. 323. She is one of the nicest professors I have ever met, and makes it her goal to personally know everyone in her class. There were only 2 tests, and one or 2 projects, very easy, and fun.

she knew what she was talking about when it came to religion, and there weren't any clarity problems, it's just that she and the others expect too much. 103 was a miami plan course and the quiz and test questions were clearly designed for people who were considering religion their new career.

Comment:
103 is absolutely HORRIBLE. Class description is entirely misleading, you don't study religion's effect on society at all. It's sad to say though that Wilson was the best of the three profs we had for the class (Colby and Barnsley were the others) and she was not much better at all. Class is graded rediculously hard for a 100-level class.

Energetic. NonTraditional. Expect to be active in the class (does not apply to 101 class though!) Not much help with papers. No belief in constructive criticism. Would rather not say anything than tell you something was done incorrectly.

she reminds me of velma from scooby doo-even looks like her a bit. She knows so much stuff-answer to every question. class is very informal and she's a fair grader. material is abstract, and i had some difficulty grasping a few, but that wasn't because of anything she did

Complete NUT. Made it clear that she doesn't like Catholics. I personally couldn't understand her lectures although with all her negative comments about my religon, it might have been because I simply stopped listening.

Her test questions don't seem bad but her lectures go way off the deep end. Convinced that pretty much all tradition is terrible and religion is...I'm not sure what.
