Dr. Crawford is a very intelligent professor, but she also cares about her students and is very understanding if you need to miss class or reschedule an exam. Definitely recommend actually going to class because the exams contain a lot of content from lectures. Pretty easy grader and gave extra credit. Not too bad if you put in effort.

Awesome professor. Very understanding of work overload and is more than happy to let students make up exams. If you talk to her ahead of time she will excuse you from certain things. If you do the readings you should have no problem with your grades. Attend exam reviews, they're very helpful. She was a great help, easy to reach. One of my favorites

Comment:

Shes verrrry intellectual, which sometimes confuses students because shes so smart but she knows her stuff. I recommend her because shes good at what she does. She helps you with papers, answers questions thoroughly, and explains sociological theories well.

Comment:

The first test I got a D on.. which was curved 10% so I originally got a 50% on it. It is not as easy as high school soc!! You NEED to take as many notes as possible as she talks, need to do the readings, and pay attention to the charts she displays in class. She is a very easy grader on papers, but the tests are very hard if you aren't prepared!

Dr. Crawford is an excellent professor. She really knows her stuff. Her lectures are a bit boring, but the information is there, and you just need to write down some notes here or there. Tests are very hard though. They would have been easier if I did the readings, but the class average was always very low and always needed to be curved.

Very nice lady but her lectures get rather long and boring because she goes off on a lot of tangents that are not interesting. Actual material learned is not hard to comprehend. Make sure to study your notes before tests and you will do just fine. When I didn't zone out, I found the class very interesting. She is a relatively easy grader on papers

You have to write a research proposal for this class, which can be a lot of work. Dr. Crawford was a huge help, though. She read so many of my drafts and gave really good feedback. Class hardly ever met. Don't slack or fall behind... you'll regret it.

Crawford, without a doubt, is intellectually knowledge in sociology. She is great at clarifying and uses examples from different articles to give you a better background knowledge. You will work for your grade, but she prepares you well enough. She gives study guides, power points, and review sessions. DONT FALL BEHIND ON YOUR READINGS!

Such a nice lady and an easy grader! This class was pretty dry, but you really learn a lot of valuable stuff. She isn't always clear about what she wants on the paper and assignments, but it doesn't matter because she isn't picky. Overall a very smart, kind woman. I would recommend her.

She's extremly boring and doesn't seem to know how to stick to one subject at a time. Her tangents are frequent and long winded. Her test have a lot of questions from her lectures so you're pretty much starting with a C before you get started. Don't ever expect to get out early either...

Great teacher! She is very passionate about this course. Her lectures are boring, but her tests are based off her lectures, so you basically have to go to class. Very interesting if you pay attention. You really have to go to class to receive a good grade. I got an A. I thoroughly enjoyed this class.

Such a great teacher! She is so intelligent and helpful. A lot of people find her lectures boring, but if you pay attention they are really interesting. Tests are so easy as long as you keep up with the readings and go to class. Most of the questions are straight from lecture.

This class is the easiest of the research methods classes. Attendance is madatory. If you miss a class, you will be so far behind. She is very helpful, however, in getting you the information you missed. She is very smart and talks fast, but if you ask her to slow down, she will go over the material again. She also does a lot of the work for you.
