Sweetest guy ever. He makes your papers bleed, but he's a super fair grader. He's actually pretty interesting. I liked his class. I always did the readings because I liked him so much and didn't want to disappoint him. He's the best =) Take him!

he is really boring and you take a lot of pop quizes by the end of the class you have read all but 1 ch.from the text book.cant wait for his class to end.really dont understand anything and i have a tutor. he's impossible and he makes you write a huge essay and grades it like you are getting your masters for it.also not allowed to use comps on it.

Had him over winter break for Civil war in shen. vally, very good class, good bit of reading but it was interesting if you like history. He is a really funny guy if you have a sense of humor, gives study guides for the test which follow the test pretty well

When it comes to numeric ratings, I'm going easy on Longenecker because I took his course at a low point in my life. But Jesus Christ! His only hope of conducting an interesting lecture would be to get double-teamed by 1.75 liters of vodka and a pack of Energizer batteries before each class. And that would be a hope, not a certainty.

At first glance he would seem to be the most boring and irritable man ever, but he really isn't that bad of a prof. The lectures could definitely knock a kid out for an hour and 15 minutes, but honestly you don't have to read or pay attention to ace his class. He's really big on participation.
