Very good prof. Really caring guy, hands out note packets for every unit. Lots of homework, but is SUPER accessible outside of class. Challenges you with questions that are harder than they should be, but it makes you smarter. Definitely a good prof to have.

He teaches material too fast. He does not seem to care if students are really getting materials. However, if you ask question during class, he may slow down for you. Get a tutor and fully use physics help for your assignment. Read textbooks several times before you attend to class

Good prof, handouts really useful and he knows the subject really well and is willing to help a lot. He can be bit boring and he was a bit too uptight for my taste. Overall good prof to take for both class and lab!

Comment:
most obnoxious class I've ever taken. He teaches you like you really are a third grader. He is overly helpful and overly clear on topics, almost insulting to your intelligence. The class is easy and you can make it be fun, but Haarsma annoyed me like none other.

Great prof, sometimes a little boring, but knows his stuff cold. Loves what he teaches, and integrates his faith well. Homework is tough but he grades easily on tests.

He gets really excited about what he is teaching and sucessfully integrates faith and science. When using the overhead projector he can be a little bit boring.

Class can get a little boring, tends to rush through material, sometimes gets kind of nervous and out of breath. Really helpful outside of class though, stop by his office and he'll clear everything up.

A decent Prof, especially out of class. He sometimes jumps to conclusions about student's questions and almost seems nervous in class sometimes. But he knows his stuff well enough, and can teach it well too.
