If you aren't an art major and you just need an art class credit, she isn't terrible to have. However for art majors get ready to be frustrated, uninspired and creatively restrained. She subtly makes everything into something she would have made, and "helps" when she isn't not wanted/needed. Also be ready to hear "Mmkay" after every other word....

Abstract sculpture- As an artist, I am horrified in her teaching. We were overburdened with projects, essays, and readings, while having to listen to her monotone speeches. She never showed us how to actually use tools and techniques, but would just talk about how to. She controlled every step of the creative process. It was uninspiring.

She really tries to help her students become the best they can be. She is willing to help if you ask, and she is always open for advice on the piece. She wants to help you reveal the artist inside.

Her Computer Animation class was relaxed and fairly easy. The final project determines your grade. She looks at how much effort you put into the class. Attendance was mandatory at first but near the end she distributed the software, canceled class meetings, and allowed us to work on our own at home. Very enjoyable.

She really wants to help her students. Enjoyed her classes. Requires some self-motivation in order to do well: you have to do the work and to excel you have to do a little more than that.
