Lori is very helpful & caring for her students. I had a few scheduling issues in the middle of the semester & she's been very helpful in solving them. Also, she cancels class often (at least 1 Friday a month & sometimes, more frequently b/c she has "open and optional" classes in which you can get extra help from her if needed). Highly recommended.

Overall, the class is pretty easy. She can't give you a 100%, so she will take points off for pointless things. She is NEVER prepared for class and you watch documentaries and listen to speakers so she doesn't have to come up with a lesson plan. She has no idea what she is talking about. I recommend renting the textbook so you can copy definitions.

Grading scale is messed up. Out of touch with our age group and subject matter. One time we watched a Youtube vid and she didnt know how to operate it. As a TCOM instructor, this is ricidulous. Don't bother buying the book.

Laurie Liggett initially is very kind and helpful and easy-going. However, something is very wrong with her grading techniques in comparison to what/how material is taught. I knew the material, understand the concepts, and yet on projects and on the exam I scored poorly. The expectations greatly outweigh the depth into the material taught.

She is one of the nicest people to have teach your class. She is incredibly understanding with your work and your life. I think she truly cares about what is going on in our lives and takes that into consideration with exams and labs.
