This class is easy if you are ACTUALLY interested in the course. If not, STUDY HARD. At the moment I have a C+ in the course only because I did not do well on 2 of the 3 quizzes that we have in the class. Make sure to not skip class. The mid-term exam is exactly what is said on the study guide(lots of vocab). She grades leniently on the mid-term.

This is a basic bone class of identifying bones. Bring your book to exercises to practice for quizzes. Start your project early if you want to do something cool beyond lecturing about a subject. She is really sweet yet lectures are writing heavy, but interesting since she uses her past cases as material. Loved her and will miss her dearly!

Sweet lady, very easy to approach and very knowledgable and passionate about what she does. Definitely do not recommend this class as GE as it is very difficult and pointless if you aren't interested in it. Take it if you are purely interested in learning about forensic archaeology or are looking to pursue a career in the field.

I loved her forensic anthro class!!! She has 2 awesome T.A.s that help you with any questions or problems you have with the material. Dr. Pierce herself is very knowledgable, she is a fast lecturer and her tests are a little hard but if you study you'll do well. Best part is going to the morgue to see an autopsy!!

Dr. Pierce is a super sweet old woman. Very experienced and approachable. Can be flexible if you show that you care about your grade. Learned a lot of interesting info, although lecture was sometimes boring. Gives study guides for exams so easy A/B if you put in some work. Would take her again.

Looks like walking death 0.o ... but is one heck of a teacher. Very clear and organized, although she can talk pretty fast when she gets warmed up, lots of fun to listen to and always interesting. It's a shame she doesn't teach more classes.

Dr. Pierce RULES! Great class for students interested in law or forensics, also good to take before paleopath or osteology. Learn a lot, it's hands on, and she is GREAT!!
